What are our chances if we beat CIN and OAK?
probably not much better than they are already
given the record of the chargers, there's really only 1 open wildcard spot in the AFC unless disaster strikes one of the top 5 teams (including whoever wins the AFC North but probably the steelers lets be real)
if we beat the bengals and they lose to the steelers that brings us back into the race but at that point we likely find ourselves in a race vs the Bengals and the whole of the AFC South for the wildcard but the strength of schedule in the AFC South is remarkably less daunting than our own - we would be reliant on them taking each other out of the wildcard race
a win at oakland means literally nothing in the grand scheme of things
the only reason we have a hope is because outside of whoever the top 5 AFC teams are, the rest of the conference is a mess
i wont lie - i would not be surprised if the teams currently projected into the playoffs in both conferences are the same at the end of week 17
Chiefs, Pats, Texans, Steelers, Chargers, Bengals
Rams, Saints, Bears, Redskins, Panthers, Vikings
my only doubts would be the redskins (purely because they have so many injuries) maybe the eagles could sneak the division and the bengals because their strength of schedule is pretty tough too
all in all im saying i dont really have any idea but at this point i only see one way to get into the playoffs and im not convinced we really stand a shot at making it
