Will do. The plan is to stay out until Monday morning, quick nap at the hotel then fly back home. What time does everything shut down usually?
G & M you can call ahead and get your name on a list. Jimmy's takes reservations. Both should be open late on Sundays if you are flying in that day. If you are coming in on Saturday then that would be ideal.

normally id post this in the around the nfl section for other teams but this is one of the best american football pieces ive ever read...

https://www.si.com/nfl/2018/11/12/f...-andy-reid-patrick-mahomes-kansas-city-chiefs

i think there are some prudent points within it that might just demonstrate why some people are not in love with our organisational approach to offence

I think this tweet from Marc Istook is valuable:

"Amazing how many football coaches think success (in a league with razor-thin margins) means doing the same thing - just better - as opposed to finding advantages by being smarter and different."

and this from Joe Banner:

"This is one of the best football articles I have ever read. It’s why some of the league is at a disadvantage if they aren’t using analytics & thinking about impact of scheme like the chiefs & some other teams are. Hard to picture a team winning a SB that isn’t thinking like this"

and here's a link to the lollipop play that's discussed in the article as run by the bears offence:

Thanks for posting, great read. A key take away that’s amazingly simple and defines the success of what the Chief’s are doing, Create space.......I found this interesting in that you can draw an analogy to the basic concept of offense in soccer. Use formations(triangles) and motion to create space to work from. The Chiefs “send someone in pre snap motion more often than they don’t”. “.....two most dangerous pass catchers dart all over the formation creating endless possibilities”. Use horizontal motion to “befuddle defenses”. Of course Reid has what seems to be a once in a generation talent in Mahomes to work with, and they also invested heavily surrounding him with a stable of fast and talented weapons that brings it together. Assembling those weapons seems to have come at the expense of the defense, but if they can at the least become consistently adequate on that side of the ball they will be tough to stop for the foreseeable future.

The last time I went was probably early this year, and I didn't get that feeling. I also don't have much to compare it to, there was a long gap from when I was a toddler to my early teens when we didn't go to the aquarium. I don't remember much before the Australian exhibit and the black tip reef was put in.

Side story: my dad is one of the volunteer divers, and my mom and I would go visit while he was feeding the fish when I was a baby. He took a break when I was 3ish, but re-joined about 4 years ago. It's pretty cool to watch him now that I'm old enough to remember these things.
Wow! That’s really cool being able to see your Dad swim around in a fish tank. lol

When my kids were young we would buy a family annual pass every other year trading years with the Science Center. We always had a great time and really enjoyed the “members nights” when they opened the aquarium at night. Back then you could get that annual membership for what it would cost for two visits. It was well worth the price.

Flying in for first game in Baltimore... what's a good hotel to stay in?

I agree with @JoeyFlex5 on staying near the Arundel Mills mall. I believe the 2nd biggest mall after the one in Minnesota. There's a Holiday Inn Express about a mile from it which is pretty nice. Hanover Md

The aquarium is barren? Maybe it just me as a fish guy, but I could go there everyday. I'd live there if they'd let me. But I also don't get to go there too often, so that could be the reason too.

Fishes are cool as long as you're not sleeping with them.

What i said still stands and will always stand long as nick saban is there. Dont care about passer rating allowed cause i remember at one point canady had a low one yall hyped him up like he was actually great. took 2.5 yrs notice that webb is done. Most thought jefferson was suppose to some type of great SS. What ever happened to chuck clark? I remember his hype for a while too.. when it comes to dbs im going with my judgement 10 outta 10.

im not saying they arenr producing players.. im saying that the dbs they produce dont live up to all the hype
Yeah, I don’t really have an opinion on that. I do however know their success has only served to make them more successful. Competing for championships every year makes them an extremely popular choice for high school recruits and they now basically get their pick of the best of the best. So while Saban, his staff and his system are definitely upper tier, it’s not really like BB’s situation where you often have so so players becoming superstars in his system.

What are your qualifications for a good db and which school outside of LSU would you say produces good talent consistently?
