How many offensive rookies have been better than mark Andrews? You got the obvious Barkley, Quenton Nelson is as advertised, there’s an argument for Ridley, dj Moore, Chubb, and only an argument for 2/3 of those. Offensive rookie skill positions I think Andrews may legitimately have had the 3rd best season after Barkley and Ridley, and considering he’s a TE that is extremely impressive. We got ourselves a real one

Saquon Barkley, Baker Mayfield, Quenton Nelson, Phillip Lindsay have probably all been better
and i agree you can make an argument for chubb and ridley and probably ragnow as well but i dont think moore has been better than andrews

either way that's still incredibly impressive - he's been easily a top 10 offensive rookie and maybe top 5

Here’s my thoughts on the remainder of the season...

After seeing us dominate the chargers in LA on a short week vs their long week, I see these ravens in a different light, but not entirely...

I didn’t feel good about this game, I expected us to lose in a blowout, I was proven wrong, this defense has stepped up time and time again and if not for a fluke 4th and 9 tossup into the teeth of our zone coverage from mahomes this defense would’ve had us at 6-0 and beating the 2 best teams in the afc.

It’s not unreasonable to say the ravens are the toughest team to beat in the afc at this very moment, good defense can’t stop us, good offense can’t beat us, road or home, we’re running, we’re hitting you, we’re winning.

I still am scarred from years past, I’m not ready to call it for us, we have one last demon to exorcise, and that is the week 17 divisional matchup to make it in. We have to beat the browns before I declare us a legitimate threat.

If we beat the browns next week, I will begin feeling like we actually have a shot at the super bowl, and not a long shot either, I believe we can beat any team in the afc playoffs, the chiefs, chargers, patriots, don’t scare me, honestly the team I worry most about is the Texans. Beat the browns and prove you aren’t that choke artist team anymore, and I’ll be sold, and I’ll be all the way on board calling us a legitimate super bowl contender, because every excuse and “but” so far has been debunked on the field and the excuses have run out, there’s no more “if lamar played a good defense” or “if lamar played on the road” or “if lamar has to score with an elite offense”, they’ve all been tried and we’ve come out either with a win or a bullshit loss(call DPI on Chris Moore in the endzone and lamar is 6-0).
Tbh, i dont think we beat chargers again if we played them in offs. All those penalties and them getting all those offense possessions without putting up any points wont happen again, im sure of it. i do think we can beat anyteam but i doubt it will happen.

Texans are also the team I'd be most worried about facing. Hopkins did whatever he wanted against Jimmy when we last played them (literally too as he pushed off multiple times with no OPI) and that was without Watson throwing him the ball. On top of that, if they contain our run game then I don't trust our O-line to be able to protect for Lamar with Watt and Clowney rushing.

Other than the Texans, we match up extremely well with the rest of the teams. If we can finally get past our week 17 demons then this team has a legitimate shot at doing damage in the post-season.

If the chargers showed something and came up short, I’d agree, but the chargers had no answer for our defense, rivers couldn’t pick on ANY of our dbs, they couldn’t run the ball a lick, they gave up pressure, their defense couldn’t stop the run, and aside from Crabtree dropping a TD and a first down that hit him firmly in the hands, they couldn’t stop the pass either. Nothing happened in that game that they could look at the tape and say that 2 weeks from now we can adjust here and win the game. If we see the chargers again it’ll be in Baltimore, and what we saw from them is what we should get. Also wtf is this I keep hearing about refs? This game wasn’t egregiously miscalled by the refs, there was no “giving” the game to the ravens and idk why I’m seeing that from people.

They [LAC] are the team I want to see least. We need to get the 2nd or 3rd seed and hopefully not the 4th seed because LAC would come here and while I like playing them here than away it’s still a concern. For this reason I’m hoping NE and/or HOU lose because if they do we get 3 if one loses and 2 if both lose. The most ideal Road to AFCCG for us IMO is the following:

WEEK 17:
CLE @ BAL****
JAX
@ HOU***
NYJ @ NE**
OAK @ KC or LAC @ DEN*
IND
@ TEN

This would mean 1:KC, 2:BAL, 3:NE, 4:IND, 5:LAC, 6:HOU
HOU @ NE
LAC @ IND
NE @ BAL
LAC @ KC
LAC/KC @/vs BAL
That’s not a bad draw IMO. It all starts with CLE though. The good news is we will know if we’re playing for 2, 3, or 4 by the time we play because NE & HOU have 13:00 games.

You think the Chargers couldn’t stop the run? They did a better job than anyone against us has since Lamar took over. I think they did a good job.

It’s always difficult to beat teams twice in one season. We can do it but it will be hard. One advantage is the game is at home.

Hopkins is a great receiver, but Jimmy was playing injured last year. I’m sure Hopkins would do well, but I also believe he wouldn’t do as well as last year. He is a beast though.

I do agree, I don’t want to play the Texans in the playoffs

They did a better job than any other team so far and we still went 159 yards on the ground against them

I hear you. I just always hate playing teams twice so close together when we narrowly won but I would rather play them here than there.

I think what we need is for Suggs to tell the team that this is his last ride.

I never ever complain about refs.. i was talking about the players as a whole. Its highly unlikely that it will happen again.

Hmm - I don't think I agree.

If we get the Texans, it will be because their last 4 weeks has been: A home loss to Indy, a narrow victory vs. the Jets, a loss to the Eagles and then top that off with a critical home loss to the Jags and drop the division title.

If that's their path to come play at the bank, I'm not so sure why that would be a bad thing for us.

It’s just about the matchups. Not saying we couldn’t beat them though

Honestly not trolling when I say this. The browns scare me more than the chargers did. I said it a few times I thought it would be close, but we were the better team between us and LAC. However, I am a huge fan of the browns. Very athletic defense, an offense that looks really solid and looks lethal when Baker is on his game and not turning the ball over. I think baker had his best game yet today against Cincy. The browns have historically played us hard. I don't think this is a trap game at all like how some have been saying I have a bad feeling against the browns. I honestly think the browns are a really good team and someone I am scared to see next season. This will be a tough game no doubt, but the experience of our defense will be too much for the rookie. 24-13 Ravens.
I understand the sentiment. We still have in our minds the loss on a win and get in/lose and get bounced game last year. The 2017 Bengals were no where near as good as the 2018 Browns. Hopefully the differences is, the 2017 Ravens were no where near as good as this 2018 version.

It must make Browns fans bristle to hear national sports talk speak their name with such disdain. Listening this morning, I heard some national reporter talking about the teams to get into the post season saying, last night's Steelers loss all but eliminated them, because "all the Ravens have to do is beat Cleveland" - with a tone of mockery.

Baker Mayfield doesn't give a shit about the Browns dreary past and it has no effect on how "easy" this game will be. Since they shed the albatross of Hue Jackson, this team has been one of the better teams in the 2nd half of the season. If we play our game, stay focused and no make deadly mistakes, we should win, but man - no one here with any sense is counting the win before it is hatched.

The Texans are not scary in the slightest.
