The Random Thought Thread

@rossihunter2 not sure where put this, so I’ll put it here. I agree and have mentioned it in the past that I believe Greg Roman is the most important offensive coach on the staff. He and Urban are very important to Jackson’s development. MM may be calling the plays, but it’s Roman and Urban that a few pages of plays into the playbook early on just in case Flacco was injured and they have been adding to it ever since. In order of importance, imo, is Roman them Urban.

I would definitely like to go after Flowers and HaHa, but i'd keep the db we currently have for another year. i do like darby though.

That might just be one year too long. #22 is fading compared to last couple years, not likely he'll get better and probably won't be worth that contract. Weddle is gone, Carr is playing OK but no matter how good care he takes of himself, father time is calling.

It's a lot of experience to lose at one shot but we need to stop overpaying for experience while not getting production that corresponds to the $$ amount.

I feel like our best reasonable scenario (2 seed would be a dream but is too far fetched) is to have Houston lose to JAX and host the Texans for the opener as the 3 seed. I know some want to avoid the Texans but I think LAC is a less desirable.

That would also line us up to go to Foxboro instead of KC. Then have Chargers/Indy or TEN go to KC and win, which would allow us to host the AFC Championship.
I really like that scenario.

So what do we about our #1 secondary then? Just scrap it almost entirely because we think they might possibly have a chance to decline? Just for the hell of it? Just “get this goddamn salary off my cap right now”?

Never agreed with getting rid of players purely for money reasons, there has to be more motive, unless you see a FA signing that would represent a net gain after cutting said player, then don’t, especially when that part of your team is your strength.

Cutting jimmy and Carr, and weddle and Suggs leaving/retiring as Sami suggests, and getting HHCD, flowers, and Darby, doesn’t seem worthwhile to me nor does it look like a net gain. If Suggs and weddle retire, we can pursue a HHCD and flowers just by trading joe

I had a dream we were down 20-0 at half to the browns fuck fuck

HELL TO THE NO!

You need to take your ass back to sleep and wake the hell up with something better than that in the Ravens favour. You got 2 days to fix it!

If it helps I’m 90% sure it was just the 2016 game week 2 vs the browns, mixed with the insane amount of alcohol I’ve been consuming in the last week as I’m in Belize and they don’t give a shit about drinking age

Different types do different things to people, I guess rum gives me football flash backs. The ravens fuck with my mind way to much
