If pass rush is more important then CBs then why are the teams with great pass rush but average CBs never contenders but teams with great CBs and average pass rush (at best) winning SBs.

Its because pass rushers win games outright against awful Olines but the road to the SB requires facing 1 or 2 good ones and then they shut down the pass rush. There's also the QBs who just get the ball out too fast and put pressure on the CBs so they better be good especially because good CBs shut down WRs (which is also why I think WRs are drastically overpaid).
without a pass rush, a cornerback will lose the coverage battle most of the time.

In the whole pass rush vs cb debate, it’s kinda been factually proven that great secondaries win more games than great pass rush, and that’s due to the nature of the quick release in the nfl these days

Peter King is somewhat narrowing it down between us and the Eagles

Without coverage pass rush can’t get home. It goes both ways, but the nature of nfl offenses in 2019 demand strong press corners outside and a versatile shifty slot guy to stop the quick release and rub concepts and against things like bunch formations you need multiple guys who can jam and win leverage and dictate where the play goes, and if you don’t have that then you’re gonna leave guys wide Open in the blink of an eye

I know it goes both ways, but if a team has great pass rushers they can keep others back instead of sending them on CB blitzes as well. It definitely works both ways, but if your asking me if I'd rather have Mack or Ramsey, sans the attitude. I'd take Mack all every day.

I’d take Mack as well because Mack is the 2nd or 3rd greatest defender of his entire generation and Ramsey is just one of the best corners currently.

Taking one player who’s in an entirely different category of eliteness over another, doesn’t make said players position more important.

I'll just throw my hat into the CB vs Pass rush debate. I'd rather have a good CB because it frees up more players on the defense and is harder to scheme around. If I were an OC going up against Mack I would put a TE on his side to chip him or line my RB up in pass protection on his side and give my QB an extra moment or two to go through his reads. The only thing I can think of in the case of scheming around a CB is to not throw to that side or two hit him with a hi-lo or smash concept
