The Random Thought Thread

more likely 5 for 110 or something

he's better than frank clark who just got 5 for 104
he's a much better version of dee ford who just got 5 for 85

he probably wont get number 1 money because khalil mack is on 23.5m/yr and there's literally no pass rusher in the nfl who will get that outside of him
I didn't even realize those guys got paid that much. That's insane

Can we trade with OSU for Chase Young?
Damn...

It would be worth it to give a team inside the top 5/10 a Falcons/Browns or Titans/Rams haul of picks to go up and get Chase Young for this defense. I know Eric and the FO values draft picks too much for it to actually happen but I'd love to have Chase on this team. Quite honestly, if the Dolphins and Bengals weren't so terrible he would be guaranteed to go number one or two overall to them. Whoever gets the third pick will likely win the Chase Young sweepstakes.

lol

Yannick looked soo good today got dam

Article on who could be available, come the trade deadline. Supposedly no one has called regarding Ngakoue, because they know he isn't going anywhere.

This is from the last paragraph in the article...
"The subject of trade rumors, the Cardinals have said they aren't trading Patrick Peterson, though no one has called because they know GM Steve Keim won't trade him. Similar situation for the Jaguars' Yannick Ngakoue -- who is not on the trade block but no one has called about him because they know he isn't going anywhere."

Looks like Beasley is our guy if we make a move

I think The Falcons would have to agree to pay most of his salary for the rest of the season for any team to agree in a trade for Vic Beasley . The guy just has been that bad for the past two years or so. Unless The Ravens believe their coaching staff can get more out of Beasley then I don't see the difference between him and Tyus Bowser who has been playing well the past two games as well.

RGIII and McSorley will both be active. A ton of trick plays coming up that'll spin BB's head.
Funny I just thought about McSorley today - mainly because the Saints were on locally (for me) and seeing Hill, it reminded me that we kept hearing about McSorley being a (extremely) poor-man's Hill. I almost forgot he existed.

I have wondered if we've been waiting to use him at the right moment. That said in critical games I worry a little about trying out crazy shit with unproven players. Certainly deserve to hit BB with a trick cause he's used them on us, that's for sure, but they gotta work.

Exactly what I'm thinking. I think the Ravens are letting the cat out of the bag slowly but surely and have a ton of plays still unused. Roman is very creative and I'm sure they have thought this carefully through. I actually think the Ravens may lose 2-3 games tops the rest of the way. That also means we're beating the Patriots Sunday night and moving to 6-2.

Oh well, he may get back into form if he plays for us. I am not sure we make any move at all given we only have 2M in cap space and signing Beasley unless we get Atlanta to pitch in means we have to rework existing contracts of which not many easy ones available.

Random thought, but here it is. I think we are actually the best team in the AFC. Better than the pats, better than KC. However I think we'd be pretty fucked against a whole lot of NFC teams. Like the packers, saints, vikings, niners.. Etc. I'm excited to see where this team is this time next year. Hope it's 8-0

Well we'll find out soon enough. We'll be playing the Rams and the Niners soon enough.
