The Random Thought Thread

hmmm, too soon to tell on Quenton Nelson, but I tend to agree with you and I know you aren't knocking Martin or Nelson. Even as good as Zach Martin is, it's very difficult to be as good as a hall of famer, unless you are one yourself. Yanda could take a while to get into the hall of fame because he is a guard, but he is one that can split out to right tackle in a pinch and has done so in the past.

Truly amazing and seems to be aging like a fine wine.

I feel like playing with Lamar has revitalized Yanda to an extent. Being stuck in a mundane, lethargic offense for the past several years probably had him questioning how much longer he wanted to play and now Lamar has come in bringing a whole new energy to the offense and team as a whole. I'm sure Yanda will still take it a season at a time, but I could honestly see him playing 2-3 more years with how much fun he seems to be having out there blocking for Lamar.

I feel slightly uncomfortable with everybody out there giving Lamar and the Ravens praise. Leave us alone please.
Lmao for real go back to doubting us and letting us fly under the radar.

But in all honesty it's nice for a change. And with Lamar as our leader I dont see us having those kind of lay an egg type of game. Especially after hearing his post game presser

1st and 2nd round picks couldn't handle the Patriots. The 32nd overall pick couldn't be handled by the Patriots.

part of it is as simple as he doesnt have to get into defensive mode with 40 pass blocking sets a game and gets to go forward rather than backwards with his feet for the majority of snaps on offence because we run so much and we run power too - almost every OL in the league prefers running over passing because their movements are more positive

I know how you feel - that's always been the case for us. Let's fly under the radar and and play the Rodney Dangerfield card (no respect). Kind of puts a little chip on the team's shoulder and takes a little pressure off them.

But how about the possibility of getting good enough that we can't help but get the attention and just have to learn to deal with being great.Being that good and being good enough to live up to it. I'd like to see our team be that.

btw, I'm hoping the next TV has a Buck filter. Boy it would be nice to turn him off, hell Collinsworth also.
Of course, Al Michaels is one of the all time greats

I was rather liking Collinsworth last night. He was calling out and showing on replay some really awesome blocking schemes (which were blowing up the Pats front) and giving some love to guys like Ricard. I loved a few of his laughs at the end of Lamar's runs because some of them were just funny how crazy they were. Like here ,,,

That may not have been the most important play of the game, but it was for me the most jaw dropping.

Nah, that will never happen. If/when we win SB, lunatics will again start with "that's a fluke, let's see you win 6 of those"
