The Random Thought Thread

im like really a SB guy which is another reason why i like lamar. I never get too hype about regular season.. with that being said no matter how our reg season turn out, i do not wanna face BB again.. i hope kc is able to take them out and we get KC.

Green might cost a lot as well, minus the draft capital it would take to land Evans. I’ve always loved Green, but he would come with a huge risk because of his injury history. I suppose that would likely lessen a bit if he came to a run-heavy team though. Trust me.. he’s also on my list lol. I just really want a veteran on the outside opposite of Hollywood. A physical, reliable target, a la Boldin/Smith Sr. Green and Hollywood with Snead inside would be really nice but it might turn in to a bidding war for A.J. whose name alone will land big money and EDC probably won’t bother, but who knows

Green might come a lot cheaper being 32 and coming off injury

AJ Green is a big name in The NFl regardless. I doubt he would be as cheap as Willie Snead new contract. Im not sure if its wise for The Ravens to even pay high for a free agent receiver next year. The way Greg Roman uses receivers in his offense outside of the number one receiver doesn't add up to pay high for a veteran receiver. This is really a number one receiver and tight end heavy offense passing attack wise. I expect Lamar Jackson to continue to get better as a passer but unless Greg Roman gets a head coaching job it makes sense for The Ravens to just add pieces to their offense from the draft concerning wide receivers and hope Myles Boykins and Jaleel Scott take the next step since they have shown promise. The Ravens may have to key on finding a receiver that has speed in the draft anyway and especially one with kick/ return ability if Deanthony Thomas doesn't work out

hopefully Lamar and Company give him more days off or atleast 3 Qtrs...

We can create a package for him on offense, we know Koch can throw.

jesus - that's unreal - do we know who's next lowest on the list?

sam koch i think has been the holder for more extra points than he's actually had punts this season

Ravens are on track for the second lowest amount of Punts(37) in league history. The record for the least amount of punts in a single season was 34, by the 1990 Oilers.

Koch's lowest amount was 40

It was a mistake to pass on Gordon imo

My god, look at how we all viewed Lamar before we drafted him, we’re all like “SOMEONE PICK HIM SO WE DONT”, we wanted the likes of Calvin Ridley, Derwin James, dj Moore, tremaine edmunds, will Hernandez.. and once we picked him we were immediately hype af, like to hell with it let’s see what happens...

And look what happened.

Well since you put it this way... sounds more like Roman needs to continue to evolve as an OC, rather than we just not use WRs.

Every coordinator needs to evolve and expand their game, Roman has really blown up his playbook since teaming with Lamar, but being unable to scheme for WRs the way he does for TEs is something that wouldn’t be acceptable if we spent top dollar on a stud WR. Like I’d have a legitimate gripe with Roman(a first, ill add) if that were to play out

I didnt think Lamar was the answer but I was happy and desperate for us to move on, I grew to hate watching lame duck Flacco drag his feet year after year.
