Per PFF, Patrick Mekari graded

Overall 70.1
Pass Blocking 81.0
Run Blocking 66.6

That's really good for his first start.

the pass blocking is really promising - it was his strength during the preseason and was during college as well - he'll improve with each week too as he gets better chemistry with yanda and bozeman but ive also been impressed with how he's held enough in the running game to allow pullers to come across pretty freely so far

will have to see whether this is an outlier due to the weather and lowish sample size (23 attempts) but through 2 weeks the only real problem has been a couple of penalties which is understandable in your first start (and a three quarters)

It really is. PFF says he was the 3rd best pass blocker in his class he just has poorly graded run blocking, his draft profile also says he can play any position. Its early but Im hoping he can lock down LG for 10 years.

not sure i like him at left guard in our scheme necessarily - didnt see a lot of effectiveness from him pulling in preseason from that spot - i think center is where he fits best on this team (maybe right guard)

he can possibly play tackle in an emergency given that's where he played in college but i dont think he really projected to tackle in the pros but he does certainly offer flexibility on the OL if needs be

The problem with LG is Bozeman is a turnstile, hes good at hitting targets but our run game still works without him. Nothing works if we dont keep Lamar upright and healthy.

Swept the best division in football. NE gets to sweep the weakest division in football. The fact that they are contending with us for the 1 seed is irritating. Guess we just got to keep winning.

I wish they make it to us in playoffs, so we can spank them again but better.

Ravens had 178 yards rushing and Lamar had 101 yards of those. The Ravens were tied 1-1 in the turnover battle. They held Jimmy G to 165 yards passing. Another impressive performance by the Baltimore defense and ground game.
