The Random Thought Thread

The Bills can't win the east even if they beat the Pats and win out - I heard they'd still lose on common opponent tie breaker.

They are definitely a team that worries me; a defence that good, and they've already had one look at our offense.
I mean we will have seen every team in the regular season that is making the playoffs. We played Hou, Pit, Ne, Buf, and KC already. It will be interesting to see how the offense looks against a team the second time around.

The Patriots own the tie breaker over the Bills (difference being NE beat Cleveland, Buffalo lost). All a Bills' win does is to give Kansas City a bye. I'd rather have the Patriots get the bye.

To clarify, the Pats would have to drop both remaining games. The Bills would have to win both. If THAT happens, the Bills win the Division. I don't think that is impossible, but the Pats dropping the last game in Foxborough to the lowly Fins seems unlikely. In which case they would win the Division. I think the Bills win both games. They'd have to hope for the Fins and the upset, but they still would get the number 5 seed with a Pats win and play the Texicans or the Titans in the Wildcard Round. Which means we'd see them in round two... unless the 6th seed upsets the Chefs.

I just can’t get our last super bowl run out of my head... it worries me. That broncos team was the first seed with the greatest offense of all time, we went to their house and upset them after they beat our asses in the regular season, and man I just hate the thought of a buffalo or Houston who we’ve already beat, knocking us right out at home in the div round after locking up the 1 seed.

We’re so good I don’t know what the hell to do with it! I’m sitting here scared like we’ve been TOO good this year and something is gonna come crashing down lol

Yeah, it's different. Kinda like when is the hammer gonna fall. lol But whatever happens it's been one helluva run so far and a lot of fun to watch. No one could have expected it.

That's been in the back of my mind too. Does anybody know how often the 1 seed gets to the super bowl?

we're so good that ill be disappointed if we dont win a superbowl - but im not scared of a single team in the nfl - we're better than every single other team and honestly its not really close - the only thing that can get in the ravens way is the ravens - but im not worried about anecdotal reasons for why us being this good is a bad thing

for reference: 12 of the last 20 superbowl attendees over the last 10 superbowls have been the 1 seed in their conference

that's not true. They would tie within the division and the Bills have the better conference record.

I was critical about Stanley early on in regards to his value in re-signing, I'm more than happy to eat crow and admit I was wrong.
no one is perfect and as long as you are able to admit you were wrong, you're are good.

btw, Admitting you were wrong doesn't apply to commentators like Collinsworth...

I would much rather underrate someone and be wrong than overrate and be wrong. I fell in love with so many dud picks over the years.

Exactly. For once, let others shit their pants for having to play us and play us at the Bank.

patriots out-do them on common games i think - bills can only win the division if they have a better record - im pretty sure that the pats win all tiebreaker scenarios at this point
