nba and nfl are similar.. nba is more simplier because you can usually guess witch 2-3 teams will be in finals.. nfl, its usually only out of 4 teams from start to finish.
Really, you predicted the Ravens to go to the Super Bowl at the beginning of the season. Come on man.

Patriots
Chiefs
49ers
Saints
GB
Hawks

thats already six and doesn't include the Ravens, because I know you weren't thinking of them.

Going to keep this real

but Judon didn't deserve a pro bowl nod over a lot of guys and I think while earl has been really good there have been some better safties this year.

There is also more parity in the NFL, not as much say this season where currently 8 teams who made the playoffs last year would be in if the playoffs started this weekend. Only four new teams this year so far as the rest of the league just isn't that good.

his pressures are top 3 in the league and one thing to consider is he is doing it without anyone else on the other side of the line, so they can focus on him. Sure it would be great if he got more sacks, but sacks aren't everything. I think ET has been very good but I agree there have been other really good safeties this year that didn't make the Pro Bowl, like honey badger for instance.

The more players you involve in a sport the harder it is to predict. The best player in the NBA can will his team to victories, NFL? Not so much.

id agree across the league - i think the problem the nfl has here is that there is far more healthy edge rushing talent in the NFC than the AFC (and some are classed as DEs and some as OLB)

so joey bosa, frank clark, calais campbell, tj watt all made the pro bowl

you could make an argument for bud dupree or justin houston maybe and it helps that jj watt and myles garrett arent eligible

cant really think of who's been snubbed from the AFC...

It's going to make him damn near impossible to resign him. He's been so good while being asked to do different tasks. I do think Wink has done a great job scheming him with deceptive blitzes and confusing defenses, but he's been really good in his own right. He's going to price himself out.

Earl has brought an element to this defense that we've badly needed. For a while we have allowed big plays even though we had a defense that was pretty good. That's been put to a halt and he's been everywhere. It's paid off a ton already.

I agree, Thomas has been very good for the most part but he has had downright liability moments in run defense and big plays have resulted. If Thomas played the outside run game with some sense then SF sand Buf are quite likely not nearly as close as they were, he came screaming into the backfield off the edge and was off by a mile on an outside run in each of those games, and big plays resulted, essentially changing the game.

Judon has done a lot of the same, but Judon has also had absolute game wrecking moments. He makes me so mad man because he’s got top 10 edge potential but he has so much trouble doing it consistently

thomas has made 2 notable errors in the running game that have cost the team in 2 games - the chubb long td in week 4 and had one against the 9ers as well (think on the mostert td maybe)

The mostert TD was on both Thomas and Judon. The Chubb TD seemed to be mostly on Jefferson, I didn’t see what earl did on that one, but also a big run by singletary came on the back of earl Thomas doing exactly what Jefferson did when he gave up the Chubb run, flying downhill I guess looking for a big backfield hit but was nowhere near the rb

yeah im thinking of a different play - thomas was in pursuit on the chubb one - trying to think which other play he filled in and missed the hole

the singletary one is probably what im thinking of

and while the mostert one was on judon for losing the edge - thomas has shown a couple of times that when he comes screaming downhill like a missile on those stretch zone plays he has a tendency to pick the wrong gap and get taken out of the play

Now that I’m thinking about it, on the Chubb run Thomas took a bad angle after Chubb turned the corner and never caught up

and he is still improving and it's the reason I see us extending him next season. I also see us using the franchise tag on Peters.
