So I was talking to a friend/fellow Ravens fan today about the Pburgh game. IF we beat the Browns will we rest key players in what would amount to a meaningless game in our tournament seeding? I’m torn in my thoughts. We know the squealers will be playing for their playoff lives, so there’s that. Do we play to win?

Yes. You're gonna get a whole weeks rest anyway. Maybe sit out a couple key starters like Yanda and Earl. I'd play Lamar tho but really limit the rushing.

play a half and maybe some of the veterans would be inactive that day, which means we would need more offensive lineman if we plan on playing them after the first half. I think we should play to win, because having three weeks off before our first playoff game could hurt our momentum

besides it's not a meaningless game. It's a way to keep the Steelers out of the playoffs and continue our winning streak.

Yes. I'd just go and play our normal game and crush their souls.

I really hope next season that we deploy a great pass-rushing unit. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with the development of Bowser and Ferguson plus the acquisition of Ward, but the pass-rush as a whole is just.....decent.

I could only imagine the field days that Wink would have if he knew he can rely on 4 to get to the passer on a consistent basis.

Play the first half like it’s a real game, but call plays to sharpen up some weaker points, call more pass plays, target guys like hurst and Boykin, use gus bus more, just get tuned up for the playoffs, don’t worry about the win.

Smh wink would still fuckin send it

Wink has been awesome bringing back the defense that won the team the first SB in 2001!

I have a bone to pick with maurkuice pouncey

This guy at the age of 30 has 8 pro bowls and 6 all pro selections

yet his HIGHEST grade ever on PFF is 78. EVER.

Most of his grades range between 64-73 ( with 2 seasons in the 50's and this current season he's THE WORST C in the league with a grade of 46)

YET at the age of just 30 HE HAS AS MANY ACCOLADES AS YANDA at 35!

should remove his selections...ITS an insult to the likes of Matt Birk

Also - subtract 10pts every season for all the holding he never got flagged for (and I'm being generous).

Of course whoever is on the field you play to win, but resting players, that’s not full effort playing to win.

So not a full out effort to win.

I hate that there could be a scenario like this. I think you have to rest players, but it’s against the grain not putting out your best and trying to win.

And this also falls into the thought that Titans would be the tougher opponent down the road, with which I agree.
