The Random Thought Thread

Even Vegas knows who will win the opening MNF game! Saw this just walking down from my hotel.

It’s been a long time but Canton/Fells Point area has some cool spots, not far from the stadium. Little Italy is close too, Chiapparelli’s was our go to years ago.
Chiapparelli's went downhill a long time ago. We like Amicci's for Italian in Little Italy and of course Vaccaro's for Italian Pastry and plenty of other desserts. Agree that Canton and Fells Point has some nice areas.

and crab cakes. You can get it in the city but the better places aren't in the city for crab cakes.

Where's the best place for crab cakes? I remember Nick's Fish House having some really good crab cakes (right outside the harbor), but I'm also not a local so my opinion probably sucks lol

G&M, Timbuktu, Jimmy's Famous (has more than just crab cakes).

Jimmy's has really good outside dining if you want that and occasionally the Ravens players show up. I haven't been that lucky, but I've heard of some instances.

That’s awesome thank you! Any idea if they have oysters

Pretty close to the stadium and great atmosphere. The Fells Point area is really cool.

Timbuktu is near the airport. Jimmy’s and G and M are the popular, most advertised spots. Pappas is very good as well. Like others said any of those have great crab cakes and all are outside of the city.

What are some other more local known popular foods and restaurants?
Close to the stadium? I haven’t been around there a lot the last few years so I’m not up on the current spots. Little Italy is pretty close and there’s some excellent places there.

Crabs(summer, fall), oysters(fall, winter)and rockfish(striped bass) are Chesapeake Bay staples.

Pit beef is a big deal in Maryland and there’s some good places around Baltimore to get it. My favorite spot is a shack in Catonsville Pioneer Pit Beef.

Some awesome ideas. The inner harbor has a few solid spots too around it.

Plan on making the trip for a game or 2 this season. Thanks a lot! Doesn't have to be close to the stadium and no lie... I've been rewatching The Wire and when Wee Bey's taking the bodies he made them pit beefs look FIRE.

I wouldn’t venture far away, especially without having a gameplan beforehand… The Wire may look dangerous and get the adrenaline rushing but I’m telling ya you go down some bad parts and you’ll quickly realize why people from around the area are warning you to create a gameplan that features safe locations

Thanks. Very mindful of my surroundings regardless but have heard about how quickly you can end up in the wrong parts by the stadium.

I know people try and bet against Brady and the smart thing to do is to not, but I'm gonna do it here. I think the Bucs will be a good team, go 11-6 give or take a game and will lose in the divisional or championship game. I don't see them making the Superbowl. They brought back that whole roster and it's hard to keep winning if you don't get even better than you were unless you were so far ahead. I don't think they were.
