The Random Thought Thread

Kendall Fuller got 40m over 4 seasons. We may be able to afford that, but I doubt we could afford that and still sign Bozeman. Not sure though. I am taking into account that we will sign LJ this offseason also.

which is the cheaper franchise tag? A CB or a Center? Maybe one gets tagged while the other gets the extension

center, but I agree with Rossi on his points above. Definitely more beneficial cap wise for longer term deal.

I do disagree that a franchise tag would end up being starting point for the next years salary, especially knowing you have a longer term deal vs just one year.

This is orgasmic.

Random thought: Have they finally killed of the "old men with a chain for measurements" this year? I don't think I've seen one yet this year, and if so, it is really about time. I don't think the eye measurement of a ref would be less accurate than the placement of those chains.

i mean really they should solve it with a chip on the ball - that way you dont have to worry about the human elements at all for ball spots

Was just looking down the roster and it occurred to me... we have so few first year players on the roster.

On the 53: Cleveland, Oweh, Stephens, Wallace, Washington
On IR: Bateman, Hayes
On the PS: Ealy, McCrary, Poljan, Verity

Not sure I've ever seen us with so few young rookies in at least some capacity. Kind of wild for the Ravens, but really speaks to the lack of quality in the draft class. Also doesn't help that we can stack some vets on the PS now as well.

I think its a combination of the lack of quality in the draft class, as you mentioned, and how deep we are now. We weren't going to keep a rookie just to keep him if we have better players.

It is nice to see most of them getting pretty decent usage as well. Will come in big in year two. It's also a positive that Wallace hasn't been used as a WR due to how much our WRs have improved.

Cincinnati ain't bad. Their kicker is tho. Hilarious watching him celebrate a miss. But GB's should hang his head in shame despite kicking the game winner.

yep, its going to be Cleveland, Cincinnati and us until the Steelers get a new QB. Once they do there could be four good teams in our division.

Pitt needs more than a QB. No QB will do anything with that disaster of an OLine they have going on. David Carr would consider that cruel and unusual punishment.

So basically all they need to fix their offense is a new QB, 3-4 new Oline starters, and probably some receiving threats once JuJu leaves and then they will have an offense that belongs in the NFL.

of course, but it's easier to build an offensive line than it is to find a franchise QB. I never said that is all they need.

NFL decided to keep Seahawks-Steelers on SNF, now that game no longer has Russell Wilson starting and a struggling Steelers team. While passing on Chargers-Ravens which will have major playoff implications and potentially a game that determines home field in the AFC.

KC needs to take care of business during it's division games if they want to make the playoffs. I think they will but it's not a certainty
