The Random Thought Thread

I think if we missed the playoffs THIS season, it's gonna hurt the least compared to seasons before (last 5 years). Even if we were to hold on and make the playoffs, I think the problems we've been having will just continue or get worse.

I've been thinking about this very thing leading up to the Bears game, but these recent injuries and Lamar possibly being out is just making me feel like this season is going to be a lost cause.

I don't entirely disagree...

yeah the comp level can be impacted upwards if a player plays more snaps on their new team - judon's already played more snaps on defence (and special teams too) through 11 games than he did the entirety of the 2020 season
that is what I thought. I also thought a pro bowl or all pro nod would also be one of the potential qualifiers.

injuries have hurt all season long but could definitely impact us down the stretch. I totally agree that it would hurt the least compared to previous seasons (the 3 prior to Lamar). I've actually thought about this as well and the injuries could very well prevent us from going far into the playoffs. Once we lost JK and Edwards it totally killed our chances and of course losing Peters was a sucker punch.

An area to improve must be the one referred to food / physical / medical preparation and others, injuries occur but I do not remember so many that force so many players to rotate, so many absences, missing 8 regular season games.
you have to do a more in-depth study, and see the relationship between covid / injuries

Have you forgotten 2015, the year Kamar Aiken and Jimmy Clausen featured for the Ravens? That year must have been a lot worse than this year. I rather think we have been spoiled by having far below average injuries in 19-20

Unfortunately it looks like last week was not a fluke and the Chiefs are back to being the Chiefs so the AFC just got a lot harder.

their offence has started putting it back together

but it's scary how much melvin ingram has helped their defence by allowing chris jones to move back inside

I know Mayfield is toughing it out through some legit injuries, but he looks awful right now. Their passing game just looks off

I kinda like Mayfield. He is showing some guts fighting through these injuries and His commercials are funny. I thought he was going to be a really good QB buuuuuuut that doesn’t seem to be.

[emoji2371] Not on Peyton’s level but still worth a laugh. At least the first couple times. Idk about the rest of the country but down in Tampa we get a bunch of Gronk commercials that are also great.

I like Gronks commercials, very funny. I don't mind Peyton's commercials but yes they are stupid.

wait, gronks commercials are funny but peytons are stupid? seems backwards. those gronk commercials make me wanna die

i think the gronk ones are so stupid they almost become charming

the peyton ones always annoyed me a little but dont care that much

i do think the baker ads are pretty good though tbf compared to the usual sports personality fare
