much like my feelings on mike tomlin - gonna hold the jacoby jones thing against him for the rest of his career... but also he's a great coach that i respect the hell out of... (vrabel's not there yet but a few more years and he might be)

that's a crazy stat though lol
but feels a bit like the 2010/2011 days or even like 2014 where the ravens are the dark horse team that no one really talks about as a contender (for no obvious reason other than small market) who none of the so-called "big teams" want to face
obviously im uncomfortable about all the recoveries we're relying on to return to form, obviously this draft could be volatile as hell and we have no idea how the board is going to fall yet - but i just look at the beginning of the season (or even the first 7-8 weeks) and see the fact that lamar put this offence on his back and was playing at an MVP level and in the best form of his whole career without bateman, without jk, without gus without ronnie, with an awful OL, with no running game - and when i imagine all those pieces returning and the additions we've already made i cant help but think that if lamar comes back how he was starting that season before everything got derailed then we're gonna be in play for the 1 seed again
especially if we can build a defence that can create turnovers

I think fans are really underestimating just the fact we'll be getting guys back. I know many faced bad knee injuries, but a move like Gordon would be huge for the RB room. Marlon should be fine. Really think we go cb with the first pick so Peters isn't rushed either. The addition of Moses basically makes RT 3 players deep now if Williams can make the roster. Mekari has shown he's serviceable at center but would still like another pick there. I'm excited to see what MacDonald does and think Pierce is an upgrade. My biggest gripe is the guy calling plays on offense...
100% last year was worse.
The last week of preseason we lost our entire RB room and starting cb, 2 on back to back plays. Stanley gone week 1 and Batemen needing surgery. Didn't Boyle only play like 1 or 2 games as well? 15 was bad, but the roster just wasn't that good either. When Flacco was hurt the team had been out of it anyway, but that was just the final nail. Ryan Mallet is an honorary Raven for life though.
