The Random Thought Thread

Damn I thought walker was playing well?

he's flashing - the wins he's getting are probably the highest quality of all the rookies - just inconsistent (and also remember he was probably the most pro-ready run defender)

but i was more pointing out the company that oweh's keeping up at the top there

I wish our offense played more up tempo instead of every play letting the clock run down. I think it would help us.
Definitely. Not sure what the deal is there, seems like there's confusion getting the plays called.
Not sure if you noticed, but there was a broken play where Lamar and the RB were not on the same page. After the play LJ sat on the ground looking at the play list on his wrist. strange.

Greg Roman has always used the entire 45 seconds, going all the way back to the Niners. This unfortunately isn't going to change. There was an article on this about a month or so ago.

There was an article that I happened to stumble upon from 2013

"Situational football has been one of Roman's most consistent inconsistencies"

"without a very stable corps of wide receivers, the 49ers have been relying on their 22 personnel more this year"

"using the 22 personnel on 1st and 10, it gained 3 yards or more of 44.7% which isn't doing a good job of setting itself up for a second and third down, whether it runs or passes the football"

"9ers need to re-visit their offensive scheme and let their QB grow. If not, no chance"

"the 9ers offensive style is killing Kap more than anything"

"Roman has not successfully used rollouts, screens, or bunch formations to help the passing game. Instead, the 49ers continue to spread it out and challenge teams vertically with slow developing routes"

These are a few things out of the many that I was reading. I don't post this to say HA ROMAN IS THE ISSUE 100% ETC ETC. I post it to say that its telling that alot of the things some posters here have said about Roman (and what gets ignored or challenged) seemed to have been issues that he had with the 9ers.

This is horrifying

To be fair, the Rams and 49ers are tied for their division lead and, unfortunately, the Browns are only 1 game back.
I mean, OK, but why does that matter? If they go 9-8 but win their division, does that make their model good just because they didn't suck as much as everybody else in their division?

Ravens OCs since 2008.

Cam Cameron
Jim Caldwell
Gary Kubiak
Marc Trestman
Marty Morninwheg
Greg Roman

Outside of Kubiak, have any of these guys ever had any real success anywhere? What a disgusting list.

It is like reading a ZDS report again. Hearing about how he always wins but never finishes. Still a pressure is still better than a whiff so it is not as though he is a net negative.

I just want my boy Double O to get a few sacks. He is long over due

All you can hope for is that he continues to improves his play as we reach the halfway point of the season.

Cerebral player. Said since draft he would need the snaps for the game to slow down. Hate that Williams is hurt but this could be perfect for us with Kyle's development. Can we also talk about the move he put on that guard for the sack? He might be our best pass rusher lol
