I am not as up to date on NFC West cap situations but why would they cut him? It saves them 8m and I can see why they would need it to sign more players (they have 31 under contract and 24m in cap space) I just am confused why they would cut by far their best offensive player just to save 8m instead of doing a restructure? To that end I am not sure if the Ravens could afford to pay him 20m, Smith 20m, Lamar whatever his tag number is, plus filling out the rest of the roster (if they do not resign Peters there is a gaping hole at CB).

Basically it seems like to make it happen the Cardinals would have to be dumb (picking Hollywood over Hopkins would be all time stupid) and to fit it under the cap the Ravens would have to have either traded Lamar or not signed Smith, and if the former would someone on Hopkins level want to play for a rookie QB and if the latter the defense has big problems again.

Also out of curiosity, why did the Ravens not entertain other WRs not named OBJ. Like clearly they see there is a problem. Clearly they see there's at least one guy out there that interests them. But like if he's not the guy, ok you still have a problem. Are you just not going to attempt to solve it?

Its so weird to me. DJax is an example of a guy who honestly can still play at a high level, he just can't play a ton of snaps. But he's the only guy who can burn a defense and he should've won us that JAX game. But even he's not enough as evidenced by talking to OBJ repeatedly.

Since then though, TY Hilton has signed with the Cowboys and Cole Beasley with the Bills. I'm not acting like those are big time guys. Theyre not. But at the end of the day if you see you have shitty WRs, and your top performer is yet again someone else's WR (DJax would be number of Duv if he wasn't too old to be playing) why not try and bring in one other guy?

They're not going to cost anything. For fucks sake, you don't even have to sign them to the 53 initially. You get 3 games on the PS like DJax. And what's the worst that happens? They suck? Your group already sucks.

Not sure why we didn't take a more is more approach here and see if we couldn't string together the WR room like how we did with the RB room last year.

It takes 2 to tango. Most of them probably do not want to come to a run centric team. Ravens are where WR careers go to end after all.

The Eagles are moronic if they pay Hurts. They REALLY should not because the entire strength of their team is the weapons they have which they cant have without Hurts. If they sign him suddenly the weapons go away and they are left blaming the coach for his regression.
