Yeah but they could have lost on Monday meaning we the game Sunday would have been for the AFC North. So you can assume they would have won, but from our perspective is they could have lost and now we can't even win the division just because they played one less game? Both Buffalo and Cincinnati beat KC in the regular season, how fair is it to them they potentially have to go to KC instead of KC coming to them?

This is why the NFL should have restarted the game after he was taken to the hospital, played the game last night or tonight and pushed everything back a week from the start. Once it happened, there was nothing the players or league could do to change what happened. I could understand if he had died on the field, absolutely no way do you play the game again. Once he's in the ambulance and at the hospital, it's out of the League's and Player's hands. So give them time to recompose themselves and play again.

As another poster said, what's the difference whether they play Wednesday, Thursday, a week from now, next season. Just push everything back a week.
Bad take is bad

This is just ridiculous.

BTW, he did literally die on the field. His heart stopped, had to be revived. All these guys watched it and you expect them to be OK after couple days??

Lolol nah let's play everything on the road. Lamar is way better on the road than at home. So is Tucker
Idk he was pretty shit in both road playoff games as well. Those INTs were ugly

Let's not act like the Bengals are benefitting from this. They might not be beat up physically but you can be damn sure they're beat up mentally.
Not making light of the situation but I doubt they are mentally beat up. Especially when they all have such strict routines. I’ve just seen so many people deal with crazy shit, take a moment, and then carry on business as usual because we had to. Humans are pretty great at adapting to shit circumstances.

There's no decision that results in things being "fair". Even pushing the season back a week isn't "fair". Gives teams that had injuries going into the playoffs more time to rest players. Whoever plays the Ravens next weekend may not see Lamar. If you push it back a week, and he plays, is that fair for everybody?

How about the two SB teams who now get one less week to prepare for the SB and get healed? Fair or unfair for them to have that week taken away for one single game?

The Bengals are effectively playing us off of an extra bye, definitely to their advantage.
Huge advantage this late in the season.

There really is no perfect answer. Any way you look at it someone’s getting an advantage. Still isn’t right the Bengals are gifted an extra bye week, but it is what it is I suppose. Nothing in the NFL playbook for a guy nearly dying in the field week 17

Burrow literally said there were guys in the locker room that aren’t confident in playing

This whole season has just become a cesspool. Nothing went right. More injuries. The run game wasn't working while pass game was. The pass game stops working, but the run game was. The offense and defense were never on the same page. 5 weeks of Huntley has been awful. Greg has been awful. MM has been bad. John can't handle his media questions about injuries.

This team NEEDS Lamar back and to win a playoff game. BADLY

everyone of them will be available and ready if called upon Sunday.

I kind of don't care, because I'm pretty confident the Bengals will beat the Ravens Sunday, and I'm not sure it'll be particularly close either.
And I don't think that would have changed if the Bengals beat the Bills outright or vice versa.
