No question that PFF isn't the end all be all. Linderbaum was 84.2 in RBLK and 54.7 in PBLK. It's not that they value one over the other and his overall was 74.7. He also had 100 less snaps as a RBLK (496) vs PBLK (596). He had a total of 1,092 snaps.

If you take PFF out of it, he's probably not as good as a run blocker as PFF says and better as a pass blocker than PFF says. That being said, I bet he gets better at everything. Right now he's already an elite run blocker.

It's not that they value one over another. It's that pass protection should weight heavier than run blocking, because most of your crucial downs and high leverage situations in games are on passing plays.

People that run block well get higher ratings from PFF than they do from others who do similar grading.
 
Saw a commercial for the Playoffs a few minutes ago. I can't help but feel we backed in to them and it's kind of hard to get excited about a team that hasn't scored 20 points since November.

I don’t really feel anyone is very excited here. Especially with Lamar as a big question mark. The only sense I get is a lot of us think we have a decent chance of beating the Bengals if we’re not a fuggin turnover machine like last week.

Agree. I just find myself mostly non-plussed. :) Feeling very meh on this Tuesday afternoon before the beginning of Wildcard Weekend.

Need some news soon on Lamar but I gotta good feeling Lamar is playing. My excitement level is growing tho. Took Monday off lol.

The way the defense played last week and hatred for the Bengals should get you excited

Not sure about that because Queen how Roquan has helped him,and may want to stay, because he realizes the only way he is going to live up to that contract is if he plays for Baltimore.

his 5th yr option will need to be decided on right after the draft. I think we pick it up, but I don't expect to offer him an extension.

I could also see us trading him after next season.

I don't think I've ever been less excited for a Ravens playoff game. Maybe if Lamar shows up to practice later today then I'll start to feel differently, but it's hard to feel optimistic about our chances after watching this horrendous offense for the second half of the season
