The Random Thought Thread

It’s a matter of time before Lamar surpasses him as the greatest Ravens QB, but that SB holds some weight for the uni brow.
One of the greatest runs I've seen by a qb and what makes it so great was the level of comp he did it against. And greatest Ravens QB still holds the same weight as greatest drafted WR to me.

That said I still remember the rest of his career.

I agree, but HOF is irrelevant when we’re talking Ravens ring of honor or Mt Rushmore IMO. Biggest example of that being Flacco , no shot at the hall of fame, but still the greatest QB in Ravens history and worth of the ring of honor.

Stover was the Ravens offense for years and made endless game changing kicks for us. I don’t see a whole lot of difference between him and Tuck in the grand scheme of Ravens history. Both phenomenal and on similar levels with an edge towards Tuck.
Tucker clears and it's not particularly close

Idk where i seen it at but it said that stover made 9 kicks of 50+ in his 10yrs of being with the ravens.. tucker did that in just one yr with us. I remember tucker being in the GOAT debate with vinitari before he even hit his 30s…… im probably the only person who thinks vinitari was and is overrated

Tucker is already considered the greatest kicker of all time and a sure fire HoF kicker. Stover’s legacy is that he was one of many solid kickers in the NFL during his tenure. They are not even close to on the same level.

The argument was never Tuck vs Stover as a player . Although if you’re talking league wide impact, Stover ranks 6th all time in NFL points scored(2,004). Not too shabby , But If I’m picking one guy to make a game winner,
I’m still going Tuck.

The original point was the impact the player has had on the Ravens and who’s worthy of being recognized on our Rushmore or whatever. Stover is already in the ring of honor, Tucker will be when he retires. But Rushmore is only four players … their impact with the Ravens are very similar IMO. I know a lot of y’all are probably mid to late twenties which makes the early 2000s difficult to remember, but Stover and Jamal were the only thing to cheer for on offense. God damn even typing it now is sad lol, but the golden toe was our best weapon by far.

I don’t see Tuck having done enough yet to be a stand alone kicker on our Rushmore. I could see it long term if he stays with the team his entire career and continues to be an amazing kicker.

I understand your point. Matt was our offense for long stretches, especially 2000.

Tucker and stover has played around the same amount of yrs with us and imo, tucker has dne more. If stover had played his whole career with us, than yea i def think he should be there. I think K is the only position where you can get a definite answer when comparing

@Tank @JO_75 I maybe jumping on the Os bandwagon even sooner than I thought. Our best player, Wander Franco, apparently is getting blackmailed by a 14 year old girl he was allegedly hooking up with. Lol fucking eh Rays are nose diving right now
