Maybe. I think if he was getting surgery, they'd have already put him on IR. Could be that his timetable is just sort of ill-defined, or that between he and Linderbaum, four weeks is kind of the baseline rest period.
I'm not sure how much longer they can sustain it though if short-term injuries continue to grow. Even with PS elevations, you're at 55 players. They have four guys who I'd say are unlikely to play this week (Marlon, Linderbaum, Stanley, Williams) and then they now have Oweh and OBJ dealing with short term injuries. So you're looking at like two healthy scratches. Another injury or two like these and you're going to be challenged to field a full gameday roster without putting somebody on IR.
And based on where the roster sits now, I wouldn't be entirely certain that Hamm or Mitchell return from IR at all. If they were really concerned about having too many IR guys and not even return slots, those would be two guys who are basically fringe-roster, depth-type players, who probably just wouldn't come off IR.
