Do we really need to draft Oline in next years draft? Especially high? I mean we will have Stanley, Hurst, Howard, Lewis, Siragusa, Yanda, Skura, Jensen ( please resign) and eleumenour to mentor. Maybe add another guy at gaurd but if they stay healthy thats a real solid group. Id rather focus more attention to TE and WR
I dont think we draft one till 3rd maybe! Wr,rb,qb, fs and lb is what i think we will

Ya maybe not LB but i could see us go safety early. If we dont draft a reciever in the first 2 rounds im gonna lose it. Theres so many that were bound to get one right?

Just wanted to throw it out there that we are 3rd in punt return average and 2nd in kick return average.

Interesting side note to look forward to is that the Lions are the best punt return team in the nfl and have 2 returns fro touchdowns. Will have to shut that down when we play them.

crazy that afc is so dam weak yet our team still wont be able to compete. If we even had an half decent offense we would be real contenders. My money is on steelers come playoffs but i wont be surprised if jags make some noise

Steelers still have the same issues as they have years previous. They only have a great record because of their easy schedule this season. So do the Ravens which is the only thing keeping them in the playoff picture right now. I still see the Patriots and Chiefs (I hate on the Chiefs more than anyone) in the AFC just because they are the one team that can run on the Patriots. I could almost see the Titans but I do not think the Titans have enough firepower on offense and enough to stop Brady on defense. I actually think the Ravens have a better chance of beating the Patriots than the Steelers do.

that's because no matter how good/bad we are, we are always philosophically set up to beat those two teams

Yep exactly. The defense has always been built to have success to contain those offenses. It is a matter more of can the offense get enough of a spark to beat the Patriots and Steelers. Both will likely put up at least 20 points on you when you play them. The offense needs to get about 24 points and the defense needs to have a solid game to get a win.

we cant beat neither team in a playoff game imo. Not with this current offense. i think jags and steelers got a better chance simply cause of their athletic lbs this seasons.

When has the athletic linebackers helped the Steelers beat the Patriots? Shazier has been there for a few years now and he is one of the most athletic linebackers, if not the most athletic ILB in the game.

I agree that if anything holds the team back it is the offense. But history has shown the Ravens play their best offense in the playoffs for whatever reason. I'd still take to the Ravens over the Patriots more than I would the Steelers. The Steelers are that team loaded with talent but not in the areas for them to win another superbowl while Big Ben is there in my opinion.

We absolutely do need to draft oline in the next draft. Not only is Lewis not a good fit as a run blocking guard, but Hurst will most likely be gone this coming season. Sure he has done well as a pulling guard, but overall, he’s best as a backup and downright scary as a left tackle. Yes we have some nice depth that could start in a pinch, but as @RaineV1 said, we don’t have anyone to be our Yanda replacement when he retires.

Yes, we do. Yanda can't keep powering through injuries forever, and Collins is constantly getting contact at the line of scrimmage. Plus Howard is pretty damn old too.

I’m also not convinced that Howard is resigned. It really depends on if they can make some cap space. Howard in general has done well, but he’s another aging player that was a good signing. I’m not sure we had the intention of keeping him next year. Maybe we do plan on keeping him another year, but if we draft McGlinchey, who should be able to start day one, we won’t need him and unfortunately his signing bonus will already be paid to him.

We used to have inconsistent offense, but now we have no offense at all therefore it wont be any best offense to be played come playoffs. i think SB will end up being eagles/saints vs steelers

While the offense has not been as good as previous years, I am excited to see what Woodhead brings to the offense when he is full go. The rushing offense has been surprising thus far, and I think that is something the team could lean on. They definitely will have to do better than 180 yards/game in receiving, but the team is built to beat teams like the Patriots and Steelers that put up big numbers because of their great defense and special teams.

I think this narrative goes away once the Ravens steal a win in Pittsburgh later this season. The Ravens have lost the last 2 games in the series but Ravens won 4/5 games before that.

Kc beat patriots 1st game of season.Guarantee it wont happen again in playoffs. Playoffs is where coaching, experience and discipline has the huge advantage and BB is the best at that. I agree with you though on our offense. If we had an even an avg O, afc would be ours

a more significant factor is that the pats defence isnt trash anymore and the KC offence doesnt look unplayable either - those two factors lead me to believe the pats would stomp these chiefs at this point in the year

Pats havent really played any decent offenses though and wont for the rest of the year till steelers in week 13 i think.
