Who has 10 interceptions this season?
That was on me (thank you for that) as it auto completed the wrong player. I did think it was odd for a LB to have 10 INTs but shrugged it off as all I hear about is how he has had a resurgence this year so figured maybe that was why. Either way per he has had a fantastic year and I kinda wish he was having it here instead of with the Browns considering how the LBs are doing lately.

Devin Bush sucked with the Steelers and is finally having a good year with Cleveland. He was downright bad @Adreme I wouldn't call their first round success rate good at all. Harris was a total overdraft as well.
No idea he even went to Cleveland. Glad he is doing alright

This old mofo doing the same incline dumbbell presses as I do. I stop my reps at 70. How can I continue to talk shit about this man? It’ll be like taking shots at myself :(
Yea all kidding aside definitely impressive for a guy his age.

Anyone know how far the Steelers can fall in the the playoff mix if they drop the Cinci game next week?

Depending on the outcome of other games they can end up anywhere from 5-7. There is no scenario where they fall out of the playoffs.
O how would love the Steelers to enter the playoffs on a 4 game loosing streak, seventh seed, and then bounced by the Bills in round one

It’s funny how he labeled those guys and then said bud dupree was bad. He was head and shoulders better than anyone on that list not named watt
Well, he claimed Bush was great because he misread the box score horribly (like, illiterate level horribly) and because he heard Bush is playing better this year.

That told me all I needed to.

Bud Dupree had one good year, one okay year and has been bad the rest of his career. Note that he is in year 10. And yes I’m going to say a player playing great this year is a good player. It’s a shocking notion but I’m also not going to say Darnold is bad anymore because I’m watching him be good.

That is a better career than Artie burns or Terrell Edmunds had by quite a bit, and Devin bush, sure he’s currently playing well, but Dupree had at least one good year as well and he did it for the team that drafted him, and if we’re talking about the Steelers drafting, then how that player plays for the Steelers matters WAY more than how a player plays for another team after being let go

Since you seem more than a little illiterate yourself I will repeat the response you missed albeit slowly.

When I typed his name I accidentally clicked my previous search from last night instead of his (relatedly Bland somehow didn’t have 10 INTs the season he set the return record and that cost me a game). Reading his stat page I don’t see anything that I could call a 10. Maybe moving the 1.0 over but that is a stretch.

I could have given a more in depth reason as to why he has played way better this season but aside from not wanting to get into the specifics of being a great run defender, the bloody Ravens game was on and I’m not giving you more time than a commercial break. The short answer seemed both obvious and sufficient.

Now that the Ravens aren’t playing I can give you a longer answer if you prefer. However the overarching point was that the Steelers, despite drafting mid to late first almost every year are getting above average returns for that draft capital. That seems easy to prove, especially if you are calling Bud Dupree good, for some reason.

That is fair, though I tend to think when a player succeeds away from the team that drafted him that somewhat validates the GM for picking him but makes me question why the coaches couldn’t use him.

If you want to say Dupree was good and Bush is bad then that’s fine because it’s basically just flipping the bad for the good and the net result is unchanged.

This does remind me a little of the Owen conversation where we called him a bust despite him being the best 31 pick of the past decade. That seems like a logical disconnect and similarly I could pretty easily argue that the Steelers draft above average high. Now granted they aren’t the Ravens but the Ravens are great drafters overall (depending on the metrics they are anywhere between 2 and 5 at drafting) despite being awful round 2 drafters.
