Divisional Round thread is now up.... first game is 4:25pm as the Chiefs take on Houston. Saturday Night sees the Commanders head to Ford Field to take on the Lions and Sunday afternoon is the Rams @ Eagles. Three appetizers before the main course Sunday Night.

It's supposed to symbolize change and growth, and letting go of any past accomplishments. It pops up from time to time in media from Asia. Don't see it as much in western stuff.
 
Ravens or Bills have to go all the way. Preferably the Ravens, but Mahomes cannot have another shot at a Super Bowl
 
Lions could still win for sure but I told yall they were fraudulent. Wayyyyyy too many injuries. And they just had plenty of games that they didn't play well in against lesser competition. Thanksgiving in particular comes to mind.

Maybe if they were way healthier it'd be a different story.

I'll 100% be rooting for Daniels the rest of the way on that side

Why would Clark be a Chiefs fan? Also idk it's pretty disgusting imo to have Swift and Clark and all this external fame be perpetually rooting for the Chiefs. It produces the BS that happened on the field today.

Another note, and maybe it's insensitive and I'll happy apologize and delete if you want. The fact that enormous quantities of young women in particular are able to be so easily manipulated into participate in activities they don't care about because they're following a fake celebrity relationship is insane and grosses me out. On both sides. What does it say about the NFL to act this way? What does it say about our culture and our young people? It's a Lotta ugly all around.

So what makes you think that the relationship is fake? While I could see what potentially the upside would be for Kelce and the NFL, how would Swift possibly benefit from a fake relationship? She has more money/fame than she could possibly spend, and us NFL fans won’t make her any more popular.

Well those 2 can do whatever they want and also it's not really withing our capabilities to assign motives/intentions. With that being said you ask a good question. I will fully acknowledge that I've been on autopilot just accepting the mass media which talks about that relationship as fake. I've seen tens of pieces of media which talk like that as if it's just common knowledge. Ultimately, we can't know for sure.

Some basic shit though would be

money talks
Travis has only ever been with black women previously
Swift has made many previous mentions of not liking meatheads. For which Travis is the ultimate meathead.
Etc

It’s not the first I have heard of it…. Although I work in the high end residential construction market here and personally know contractors that were involved in both the construction of Mahomes house and a large remodel on Kelce’s house when she started living with him. The couple guys I talked to that did most of the work said they all were very generous and overall good to work with. As to choosing partners, I know from personal experience people change. I spent a few years trying to tame a couple strippers. LOL
 
The Lions are a fun team but putting the ball in Jameson Williams' hands - a man who makes 9 out of 10 wrong decisions - is a choice. None of the NFC teams are that scary, but Washington does seem to be putting it all together at the right time.

Washington's defense is too bad to win a SB this year. But what i do seriously appreciate about that team is for the most part they just play sound ball on offense

It's an okay defense. Think what works in their favor so much right now is that they're playing with 0 expectations. No one expected them to be here, so it's a house money proposition of sorts. Jayden Daniels is a fucking dog too, obviously.

For sure. Would love Philly to win and then have those 2 beat the shit out of each other in a divisional NFC champ game
 
Also tonight is why Goff can never be an MVP. He's a good QB that's it. He'll mostly be fine. He'll have some great games but he'll throw 3,4,5 INTs a couple of times a year.
 
There's roughing the passer shit that can be questioned, but the Mahomes rushing shit is out of control. He runs around like a moron, but gets predicted as if he's not a runner. He's also the ONLY QB to abuse that rule and therefore the only one benefiting from it
