You are right. He put the ball at risk multiple times, and there are a few Bills fans on him but the majority are not. Mostly they are blaming the coaches and of course the refs. He did make a couple really good passes to Hollins which jacked up his yardage but other than that he didn’t play well.

Yep. The Bills had their chances and were fortunate not to have any bad luck with turnovers. The spot call went against them but they still had a chance to win the game and couldn’t do it. I really have no sympathy for them

Simms has defended Lamar but this Allen coddling is crazy. Down 3 all 3 TO and couldn't get past midfield. They were in this situation last year and he folded then too with a guy wide open underneath. The only thing they're holding onto is turnovers and even then he tried his best to give it away and got lucky. No beef with him. Great player. It's the fans and media which is why I'm about to start tuning all this bs out.

I know he didn’t catch Rodgers for regular season passer rating record but I just read Lamar had the best passer rating in a season when combining regular season and playoffs. If that’s true we need to be spreading that shit. Way too much shit talk going towards him.

The 2nd Browns game really affected his passer rating. Just sloppy play all around in large part because they wanted to get the game out of hand quickly. At the same time, the Browns defense weren't pushovers per se.

Yea they also took out a core player. That game just sucked despite us winning it pretty easily after a slog start. Bengal fans chirping up again because burrow beat Mahomes 4 years ago, it’s amazing how cocky this fanbase is it truly is. At least the 49ers have won before, thankfully 2 against them
Can you DM what reply of yours I deleted? You're definitely right and I apologize, but I want to make sure I know which it was.
I will add, the reason I want to know is because if it's in a game day thread, those are already toxic cesspools and we don't need a political discussion going on when over half this board rages at a completed pass four three yards by the opposing offense.
I do want to make sure that this board is welcoming for new members and doesn't turn people off because they see the board is leaning one way or another, but I also try not to overmoderate, so if you could DM so I can get an idea, I would appreciate it.
I think the Ravens could have beaten KC the way both teams played. Mahomes has an uncanny ability to do just enough to win, but I think Lamar could have matched him.

Remind them what Burrow's record against Lamar is if they so choose to talk shit about him.
I will say on the discussion of Lamar-Allen-Burrow, it's amazing how those two haven't accomplished nearly as much as Lamar (at least Burrow has reached a Super Bowl), but they're widely considered to be better players.
But then you think about how Jalen Hurts is about to play in his second Super Bowl while playing adequately in the playoffs and he's shit on all the time.
So, is Hurts a top tier quarterback because he performs in the playoffs or not? Or are Allen and Burrow overrated because they don't have the hardware Lamar does?
Fans want it both ways and it's so annoying.

Its not that complicated. Hurts is mediocre on a superteam for the last few years in the weak conference. Lamar, Allen, and Burrow have played quite well and not been able to overcome Mahomes. Only Burrow has done it once and then he blew it to Stafford, but that was a close game and I don't think anyone would say it was really his fault.
I agree that Hurts shouldn't be in the discussion with the others, even though he did have a really crazy Super Bowl.
My point in saying all this, and my point may not have been explained well, is that fans have to add so many qualifiers for why Allen is actually the second best player in the NFL and why Lamar is actually just some scrub because the arguments that are made fly in their face when you start applying their logic to other quarterbacks who are not at that level.

I would. He did not play that well, in fact his clutchness and playoff performances in general are crazy overrated imo. His only TD was due to an egregious OPI. A lot of the sacks he takes are not always because of his line.
I agree, Lamar should be the clear 2. There’s a baiting graphic going around trying to compare Hurts first 5 years to Lamar’s. Kind of like Allen, the push tush bs TDs make those guys look better. There is simply no way Burrow wins MVP playing on the 2019 Ravens , but Lamar with Chase Higgins and Boyd? It’s kind of crazy to hear anyone suggest Lamar didn’t have the best stats this last season, burrow pulled a Lions Matt Stafford, I’m kind of hoping that’s what he becomes. He needs two 1s
