The Random Thought Thread

Next time we’re in a tough playoff game, I need the defense to not give up a fucking opening drive TD. It seems like every time that happens, Lamar gets in a shootout desperation mode right away, and does some reckless shit.

If Stephens doesn’t give up that long third down on the first series and we force a 3 and out, that Buffalo game could’ve gotten outta hand quick

The real triggering is what they did to not set the tone in 2023 AFCCG. Simply disgusting. Yea they buckled down but the damage was done, but honestly, they got lucky the screen pass was called back and they got a turnover on downs.

The Eagles dominated from start to finish, even after Hurts awful pick. Lamar has never had a roster that good

2023 we shouldve won it all.. i think this year and next is gonna is our next best chances.

Or..... hopefully Lamar is maturing and will remain calm and play smart no matter the situation.
So many wasted opportunities in the first half of that game. We should have had a sizeable lead at the half.

I expected us to win it was horrible, the pain was so much greater than last year, last year was more pure anger at Andrews than anything else. This guy seriously needs to help Lamar in the playoffs, it’s annoying when ppl use Andrews as a way to discredit Lamar when the guy is more responsible than anyone for some of the playoff bullshit

Not sure if it was first half or not, but how we didn’t score after that Bateman bomb is malpractice. Idk, maybe don’t throw a fade route to Ronnie Stanley but what do I know. If we don’t destroy the Bills I won’t be excited for the season.

Absolutely. It just sucks seeing that our defense appeared to show up immediately, and then Brandon Stephens took the wind out of our sails, shakir showed no signs whatsoever of breaking off his route, but Stephens ended his backpedal and sat on it anyway, and obviously got cooked for a long first down. If he played that with any sort of common sense then we force a 3 and out, it was totally inexcusable and that isn’t even the kinda weakness Stephens was known for.

Ngl, lamar is actually to blame also. carelessness with the ball knowing its a little slippery and that int that was not suppose to be thrown. He over came it but those two plays fked us up bad early on

You recall what happened the play before Lamar’s fumble?

That’s right, mark Andrew’s dropped a wide open pass that hit him square in his hands for a first down. You could reasonably argue that if he catches that shit like he absolutely should, then the following play doesn’t happen.

Really hoping that their experience in that game has shown them something about ball handling in freezing wet weather.

You can rewatch that game and come to a conclusion that Buffalo was just far more prepared for the weather. They knew to be extra cautious and protect the ball, and that should be enough to win, don’t need to force anything or make crazy plays.

It was the one on 3rd/4th down on their 2nd TD drive that was unreal

At that point it felt like this was gonna be an offensive game for the ages and then all the scoring kinda stopped after that…
 
Glad Bond got a chance. I’m just laughing it’s with the Browns. Can’t wait for them to sign Tucker

Edit- apparently Bond hasn’t signed with Cleveland yet

That's something I like about likely. That touchdown was clutch against the bills, no Andrew's drop and everyone talks about it. Hard catch too. and he sparked the comeback vs chiefs albeit regular season w1 (had the feeling of a playoff game)

Funny enough in both of those games last year we marched and scored with ease on the first drive then decided to go stupid for a while
 
What's everyone doing for their game day jerseys this year? I alternated between Tucker & Lamar for the past few seasons but now that Tucker is gone, I need another game day jersey for the rotation. Leaning toward Kyle Hamilton, maybe Bateman since he's locked in until 2030. I'd really like to wait for the Super Bowl Jersey for Derrick Henry so I can get it with the patch.

That entire play was so damn clutch and barely gets talked about. Lamar is over the playoff demons imo, how can you watch that and think otherwise. Andrews is the one that has never stopped choking, but maybe he’ll finally get over it? If he costs us again it’s malpractice on our FO
