The Random Thought Thread

The only College Football I watch anymore are the rivalry games, but some of them have been killed by teams leaving their historic conferences. Still OSU vs. Michigan, Alabama vs. Auburn an other homecoming and rivalry week games are sometimes good. But the truth is you've never really been able to pin down why even those games can sometimes be unwatchable.

For me it's worse in college basketball season. Since the Terps left the ACC, I can't really find a team in the Big 10 that I look forward to playing like I did Duke or UNC or even NC State back in the day.

I cant believe we got Parsons. I am super excited. I dont mean to come off as bragging. Before this move I didnt think we would be very good this year but now I have more faith.
Interesting. I've seen some people pick the Packers to make the Super Bowl, I'm leaning that way even more after the Parsons trade. What makes you think Green Bay won't be that good?

Its no way packers make the SB unless they have an easy route to the SB. I wouldnt mind if they did cause they would have to play us but i dnt see the hype. I dnt even know who their cbs are and their wrs are legit mediocre

Only because we have a brutal schedule. We have home games vs you guys, Cincinnati, Washington, Philadelphia, Detroit, Minnesota then we have road games vs Pittsburgh, Dallas, Arizona, Denver and of course our divisional rivals. I hope we can make it through this tough schedule.

Hopefully drafting Golden will boost our WR production.

Yeah, that is going to be tough. I think the NFC is going to be a surprise this year, sure it's easy to say Philly again as the NFC Representative but I think a team nobody expects ends up there. I think you guys fit that criteria well but so do the Buccaneers.

I'd like a Ravens/Bucs Superbowl just so both Lamar & Baker get to the Superbowl before Allen.

I hope it’s us but we shall see. Now we have a D line that can get after the opposing QB. Our secondary is our worry though.

We got Dobbs, Reed, Golden, Wicks and Heath at WR. I sure hope they step up.

I didn’t see the hype with golden, but if he does live up to his draft status, then I think you guys have enough wr talent, your defense should be competitive, and if Jordan love is as good as the organization thinks he is, you guys should be competing in the nfc for at least the next 3-4 years.

I don’t see any nfc team as being a full tier above the packers besides the eagles, the lions would be the closest thing but I’m beginning to think they’re slightly overrated, they should have made it to a Super Bowl by now in that conference, there isn’t a Chiefs that you have to get through every year.

Whatever order they come in at, I think this graphic does effectively illustrate just how stacked the AFC and the AFC North in particular are…

5/10 are from the AFC North
8/10 are from the AFC

If you can win a Super Bowl from the AFC you’ve truly gone through the best of the best to get there

I wouldn't want it any other way

@JO_75 , I'm curious to see which will come first: someone making the First Up thread for Sunday's game or your weekly previews of the other games. Time's a ticking lol.
