The Random Thought Thread

You know what rule I really hate?

The fact that if you drag your toes from in bounds to out of bounds during a catch, it’s ruled a catch.

But if you are catching with your back to the OOB line, and you toe tap both feet inbounds before your heel lands OOB(toes and heels landing being intentional separate acts) then it’s ruled incomplete.

Toe drag is a single act going from inbounds to out, toe-heel is a 2 part motion going from inbounds to out.

It doesn’t add up to me.

Someone was watching the Miami Ole Miss game lol

Lmao saw the clip on YouTube and got pissed off all over again.

Maybe I’m an unreasonable person but that rule really gets under my skin lol

luckily it not counting didnt matter for the end result

but im with you - if you drag with your toe facing forward it somehow is a catch, if you drag with your toe backwards it isnt

Like make it make sense. You gotta apply some kinda logic to your rule, SOMETHING. There is NO sound reasoning to this.

Wild Card Discussion Thread is up....

Kyle Hamilton 1st team all pro
Jordan Stout 1st team all pro
Pat Ricard 2nd team all pro

Don’t think I can argue anyone else deserves it
This had me curious... for as good as Sam Koch was for as long he was, he only had one 2nd-team nod in his career. Really speaks to how underrated he was, but also just how good Stout was this year.

wild though that koch never once got 1st team all-pro because he legitimately changed how punters punt
you'd think that if every punter and special teams coach starts stealing your stuff because it's changed the entire skill, that you'd be rewarded with an all-pro nod lol

And Stout has also credited an addition of a new style of punt to his success this year. Even without Koch on staff, you've gotta think he had a hand in that just from their 3 years together prior.
