Completely agree with point number 1 in that, why would you just let them make a lateral move now? It serves no benefit to the team. If the new HC wants to fire him then he can just do that when he’s hired.

#2 I dont know enough about to have an opinion one way or the other. This upcoming year will be my first as a Ravens fan, and I am certainly very excited about it.

Well yeah. Imagine having the arrogance to think that a person who did a shit load more than work than you to achieve things that you personally take credit for owes you gratitude, while you offer none.

Where I come from, we call that being a piece of shit human being. What do you call that where you come from?

That being said, if I saw him, I certainly would thank him for all he has done for the organization.

Also it certainly sounds like you agree and he should have thanked the fans. I mean you feel we should have thanked him. Does morality and respect only go one way????? No need to answer, you already answered the question.

Show me the "majority of fans" are have shown public gratitude. You're asking for John to show you public gratitude for things that you didn't really earn. At a minimum, I'd think that should be reciprocated.

Right but he EARNED that platform. Fans did nothing to give it to him. Fans can't even argue his compensation is tied to their output, because it's not. His platform was earned by the time he spent as a coach, and the success he had doing so. He didn't earn the platform because fans decided to give it to him.

Because there's two types of fans:
1. Fans who understand what their role as a fan is, and what little impact they actually have on the output that occurs.
2. Fans who believe they're entitled to take credit for things they didn't earn, merely because they spent some time posting on message boards, watched on TV, and bought the occasional ticket or jersey.

The only question is to figure out which bucket you fit into.

As somebody who's a season ticket holder and spends more $ than the majority of fans ever will supporting a team, there's two things I won't be doing:
1. Taking credit for the work other people did to achieve goals we all share.
2. Expect somebody to thank me for the things THEY achieved.
Those are pretty clear cut moral concepts for me.

and at what point did we say we gave him the platform and his success was tied to us. We didn't say that and don't put words in our mouth.

Lmao. It's so funny to me that you think I care about this conversation of gratitude to Harbaugh. Who cares? Someone thinks it would be nice if Harbaugh said thanks to the fans? Ok cool, who cares? Someone thinks the fans should've been grateful to Harbaugh? Ok cool, who cares?

I'm saying you consistently relish the opportunity to make people feel stupid no matter their position. You're a smart guy, I just wish you were a smart and nice guy.

I relish the opportunity to make people feel stupid when they either take a ridiculously stupid position, or in this case, display massive character flaws that make them look like arrogant pricks.

I absolutely relish in that opportunity.

You didn't say you gave him the platform. You're telling him what he should do with the platform he earned.
At what point do you realize that not only are you not qualified to tell somebody what to do with a platform that you had nothing to do with them earning, but also that it makes you look like an arrogant prick?

What is the issue with allowing someone who's earned a platform to use that platform to thank whoever the fuck they want?
