Giants fans on reddit be telling Ravens fans we didn't know how good we had it. He was literally on the hot seat until Lamar became Lamar.

Struggling to find nfl network coverage of the story but they had already announced that they had mutually agreed to part ways at seasons end, after the home Steelers loss and going into the bye.

No it was announced back in 2018 that they agreed to mutually part ways after the season, then after a few starts from Lamar they extended him.

I've always wondered who we might have hired if we did fire Harbaugh, and despite Lamar being Lamar, that defense was letting Baker and Cleveland drive down the field in Week 17. If it wasn't for Mosley intercepting Baker and let's say Cleveland wins. Who do we hire? The coaching hires in 2019, well only Zac Taylor and Matt LaFleur are still a Head Coach out of everyone who was hired that off-season. Only one I could have seen working in 2019 is Bruce Arians and that's if he would have wanted to come to Baltimore over Tampa. If we had enough after losing to Buffalo in the playoffs in 2020, maybe Dan Campbell in 2021 but that would have been hard given he was hired by Detroit a few days after we lost to Buffalo. Would have been something if we traded Harbaugh to the Giants after 2021 given the Giants hired Brian Daboll in 2022 and replaced Daboll with Harbaugh years later lol.

May be a blessing in disguise because I'm like 99% sure they were very high on Adam Gase had they chosen to move on. No guarantee that someone else wouldn't have won the interview battle or that Gase wouldn't have chosen another opportunity, but I had heard he was the guy we would have prioritized at that time indirectly through conversations on this year's coaching search.

you got JLC'd - was never announced as such

only guy who reported the parting of ways was JLC in November 2018 - and once it gained some traction in the media cycle with aggregators and pundits commenting on the JLC report, the ravens actively refuted it in December

only reporting from real insiders was that Harbs was on the hot seat but nothing more than that

always check your sources (and especially AI sources)

Maybe back in 2018 the source was JLC but I definitely saw the story breaking on tv, maybe it was local outlets that fell for JLC shit

it was on tv
most national and local media picked up the report and reacted to it...
but it came from JLC
hence why none of the real insiders ever mentioned it and why no one has ever come out with that story since (including JLC lol)
