The Random Thought Thread

Marlon will one day carry the "Play Like a Raven" torch!
It's too early to say but I tend to agree. He seems to have " THAT" about him. This " play like a raven" tag ought not so easily be assigned.
It is actually quite rare.....To my mind, the last player The Ravens drafted that had that "that" quality was Ray Rice.

I see he and Humphrey as similar in that regard.

So, apparently RGIII said that the Ravens and Cardinals both offered him contracts, but he turned down both offers. The reason for turning down the Ravens? It was before preseason game 1 and he didn't feel like he could come in on limited time and play a preseason game with no chemistry and it just wouldn't be good.

What he's saying now? If a team signed him, he's ready to play and he could 100% do it if needed.

So, you couldn't play a PRESEASON game, but you feel comfortable playing a regular season game of very meaningful football under the exact same circumstances?

I don't believe that, at all. I think RGIII is just trying to promote himself because he's sat on a couch all season and likely well for the rest of his life.
I can think of one person on planet earth who is more self involved than Griffin. He is full of it.

What part of the "one day" confused you bro?

I doubt if Baltimore even offered him a contract. I think he's trying to talk himself up to be a viable candidate when he sees guys like Palmer and Wentz go down.
I disagree. I believe he’s being honest. I don’t think he had his head in the game and now would like to play again.

I do believe he was offered contracts, but I also agree. He was not well liked by other players in Washington. Not at all.

That may be true but he didn't say that. His explanation for refusing the offered contract doesn't make sense, as OP pointed out. Wherever he goes now, it will be unfamiliar team/playbook. Even worse, lot of important games are being played these last few regular season weeks.

damn is maclin really this soft? hope his contract was a one year deal. chris moore gets open but he needs to finish it.

It was essentially a two year deal with 7.5mil in year 2, but only 2.5mil of dead cap is added if he's cut. So it frees up 5mil towards the cap if he gets cut.
