The Random Thought Thread

So just wondering.. are you a believer of his ability to do it again?

Because I think Collins is about to become a premiere RB barring a disaster

He should be able to do what he did last season again although i think his YPC might take a slight dip.

I dont think he has what it takes to become a premiere back though and hope he proves me wrong.

Teams have a almost a full season of tape to study his tendencies.

So we will find out who will have the advantage.

but i think it helps him that if he struggles we'll (hopefully if he stays available) have dixon too - their styles complement each other well and they both have shown an effectiveness breaking tackles and making yards where yards should not be available

i think it helps the team more then the player themselves.

obviously he'll want to start but it takes the pressure off that he wont be left to struggle if he keeps struggling - obviously its a different type of pressure but he wont have to worry about carrying the offence

then he wont be a premiere back nor would he be able to do what he did last season.

Believe Dixon was 2nd in YAC in 2016

I saw where Nico has a second knee surgery during the offseason to clean things up. The Ravens are hopeful he will be ready for training camp.

Thanks.

This is what you would hope all the players are about. Good for Marlon

Marlon seems like he really wants to be great. Waited for his time and when he got the chance showed why he was worth the pick, minus one rough game. HIs bounce back showed something to me because that performance easily could have killed his confidence.

Thanks.

and let's not forget that the rough game was when he had to come in for jimmy early having likely not been prepped as the starter - and he still recovered to make a game sealing int at the end of the game

he's got a lot of mental fortitude and the talent (athletically and mentally) to succeed and be a really great pick

Marlon played remarkably well for a rookie, a 21 yo rookie at that. Pretty comical the way some were so critical of his play.

it was objectively stupid - he had 1 bad game and he came back from it and improved within the same game - what more can you really ask from a rookie cb

We have an very talented young CB core even without Jimmy (the best CB in the league at full health)

We could go into the season with Marlon, Tavon, and Canady as the starters and I’d be comfortable with that. Maybe Wink can unleash this great defense we thought we’d see last year.

I’m rambling now but most on here seem to think we don’t have a chance to do anything with our schedule next year, but with this defense’s potential, and our offense surely being better than last year, I don’t see how it’s not realistic to think of us as a potential 10 win team.
