Perspective, If i told you that this would happen
Flacco back injury won't play pre-season ( likely disk related)
Perriman- Grade 2 hamstring straint ( 4-8 weeks and sometimes lingers and no reps at training camp with flacco)
Stanley ( Lingering issue, likely a hamstring too based on what harbs has said, if it's serious or if he gets injured badly this year, you can put a fork in our season)
Canady- Done for the long term but possibly back at Mid Season
Young- DONE ( Might not be as tragic with Jaylen Hill looking like a ball hawk and canady coming back)
Dixon- DONE (Our best RB)
Siragusa- DONE ( horrific injury, might never recover to be the player he could have been)
Lewis-DONE ( While I havent ever been a fan, he is better than hurst until hurst has shown me otherwise)
Gilmore- DONE ( Probably best all round TE when healthy but not irreplaceable)
White- DONE ( This guy was looking like he was making the team and a real X factor for a return game)
Waller- Suspended ( Not that he was anything special but easily the most athletic TE on the roster and a mismatch in some regards)
Urschel- Retired ( 0 depth on this line where he was an adequate back up)
And all this before we've even got preseason game 2 never mind even cinci at week 1, would you guys feel optimisitc about the season at all? Taking into account we'll probably lose important players during the season?
What have we done to recitfiy?
A.Howard - If healthy an average to above average RT.
What can be done to help this situation?
make a trade for LG , I have been pounding the desk for Andrew Norwell who would help transform this lines first unit into a strength. If not, at least trade for a good starting quality LG with good size and run blocking skills.
What do we need to hope for?
That Jaylen Hill becomes on of those gem UDFAs and makes us forget about tavon. I must admit i was supremely impressed by him vs the redskins and based on his training camp and college stats/tape, he has a knack for interceptions.
That Quincy Adeboyjo is another one of those gems that can stretch the floor with ease if perriman needs more time to get his feet under him.
That Flacco actually shocks us all by playing well under not the best of circumstances, which he seldom ever does.
