Joe Flacco

I’m not disappointed in Crab at all thus far. He’s had some concentration drops but he ALWAYS comes back and makes a good catch to make up for it. He doesn’t drop nearly enough to worry. With some guys you’ve just gotta deal with 1 or 2 drops a game and I’m fine with that because he’s a good asset for the team.

yeah im ok with it so far too - we knew this is what he was when we brought him in and he's mostly delivered what we wanted and expected of him - which is tough yards, redzone help, critically important plays but also some annoying (but mostly non-critical) mistakes

You and have have been through our verbal "jousting" over the years on the other and this board. We rarely see eye to eye on things BUT that is what makes for great friendships such as ours.

Having said that; I MUST AGREE WITH YOU on the posts I've seen about your boy Flacco. You called it! That cat is healthy, he has more dependable weapons and a O-line that is learning how to keep him up right. And in so doing; he's been on point! I hate that he missed a wide open Crabtree but I also hate that Crab is out their dropping passes! Goodness! Smh!

I lke what I am seeing...SO FAR! Lol! But, you know that I have extremely high standards for our team and Flacco in particular cause he's the QB. I just wanted to give props on your boys gameplay. I want HIM and them to keep it up!

GO RAVENS!

Mili! My brother from another mother! Do you believe it’s been 10 years? Holy mackerel Kingfish!

Let’s hope Joe and company keep on the uptick because things don’t get easier with the schedule they have this year. I think at this point it all still hinges on O line play.

Bye the way, you did see Joe was getting hit as he let that “overthrown” ball go to Crab? Can’t make ‘em all, but things are looking up! And Crab is so sloooow. lol

10 years huh? Wow!

I did see Joe get hit on that Crabtree throw but still! Lol!!! Seriously though, Crabtree is slow and has bricks for hands man. Hopefully, he can turn the corner on those drops. But he seems to be a very solid route runner. I'm really diggin Smoke and Snead though. And Joe threw a purrrrrty ball to Smoke fo that TD. He has also been leading the receivers with his throws a lot more as well. Got to admit it.....he is "sloooooowwwwwly, slooooooowly" making a believer out of your boy! Lol!!!

Got to keep stacking these "W's" so hopefully, Joe will have them playing with that same intensity vs the brownies.

Can’t wait for Hurst to get cranked up. Watch out!

If Lamar develops to the point of being a backup qb, the Ravens can trade RG111 next year at the end of preseason. I don't see the Organization having a QB controversy, just some on here. Eventually Lamar may get a shot with a third tier team, much like the Ravens last backup QB.
Rg3 is in a one yr contract. He can’t be traded passed the trade deadline, unless he is resigned.

Im a big fan of RG3, hes a good influence in our lockerroom and he would be a good QB if he could stay healthy. I hope he gets a good opportunity.

He seems to have really matured and is no longer about "just himself". It should be interesting to see other teams' QB situations after the season because I think he's still starting-caliber provided that he can stay on the field.

If the Ravens resigned Perriman to get a last look, I expect them to do the same with RG111 to find out during training camp and preseason if they need to keep three QBs again. Than if Lamar has progressed to backup capable, get something for RG111. He looked good during preseason, and next preseason he can audition for a trade unless Lamar doesn't progress. Its a good problem.

Lamar is definitely capable of being backup this year.

Uh, we didn’t resign Perriman. He played out 3 years of his contract and we cut him before his 4th season.

RG3 is an unrestricted free agent. He’s not going to resign with us. Period.

Those two situations aren’t similar in the slightest.

Easier said then done. This year we were able to sign him for 1m, which is chump change compared to many backup QBs that signed the past couple of years. If we can sign him for that again, I’d do it in a heart beat

I think he means, not cutting him prior to his bonus, which you are right, we didn’t resign him.

I expect the Ravens to let RG3 walk and therefore flip him effectively for a 3rd round comp pick because he’ll likely get more than $10M a year as a QB. Even backups usually get more than that now.

I don't think he will get 10m a year, but I do believe he could get enough to garner a 4th round comp.

I think he progressed incredibly fast from the HOF game to PS wk 4, but I still don’t know how I feel about him dropping back 30-40 times a game, and with our OL we absolutely would need him to because we simply cannot run block, our entire run game would be based on his legs and in the passing game we need the deep ball to be a threat

Based on his throwing in preseason and week one, I wouldn't want him throwing the ball for extended time right now.
I don't imagine it being much better if Joe went down and Bob took over.
