Joe Flacco

we've got this bye week to see if Stanley, Hurst etc. can get fully healthy

not that this is much solace but i was actually fairly impressed with how not-terrible eluemunor did at LT on sunday - it wasnt ideal and it wasnt brilliant but he impressed me with how he wasnt a big issue on the line compared to the guys next to him
I actually thought he had a pretty bad game(not able to watch play by play live) good to know it was not as bad as a thought.

there were things that were bad
and there were things that were surprisingly fine/good
overall he wasnt the liability we feared which is cool given that we've been looking at him to be a depth guard since he's been on the roster (and he couldnt even stay on the roster as a depth OL at all originally)

the issues are coming from lewis and skura (which compounded with stanley's absence means that the whole left side of the line is a weakness)

If Joe can't start because of his hip injury, I wonder if we should let RG3 start over Lamar as he looked so good in the preseason. Lamar could still come in for a few plays.

Didn't you just say in the other thread preseason means nothing?
No I think you misunderstood me. I get excited during the preseason thinking our team is pretty good but get so disappointed when we regress so much during the regular season. I just been having real difficulty the last few weeks with my disappointment. I was flying so high when we beat the Steelers. I feel like the wheels came off my dream for the season.

same for a lot of us i think - the last 3 weeks have drastically changed the outlook and attitude towards this team

So Joe has a hip injury? Wow! I hope he is ok! Never want to see him or any other player be severely injured.

Interestingly enough, I just told a friend of mine (who's a Cowboys fan) and my exact words were; "Don't be surprised if you see Flacco sitting on the bench and Lamar Jackson starting after the bye!" That just came from a place within me that is personally sick and tired of watching Flacco at the helm of the Ravens offense.

I'm more than ready to see the "Lamar Experience" to begin in Baltimore. Let the kid play! Hell! I already benched Flacco and started Lamar in Madden 19 the moment I picked up the game months back. I got a nice win streak going right now actually. LOL!!!

I was wondering about that hit he took in the Pittsburgh game, but you can never tell with Joe. Dude is freaking tough.

If he can't go, while I am anxious to see what Lamar can eventually do I'd hope to see RG III start. Lamar came into the league with 90% of the talking heads spouting crap about how he should be a wide receiver. I don't want to see him stumble and the feeding frenzy that would ensue if he came out before he was ready and while the Ravens are still in the playoff hunt. They've given Baker Mayfield all the slack in the world when he struggles. I'm betting Lamar doesn't get the same benefit of the doubt.

I never get excited during the preseason or listen to any of the hype about the Ravens. Never! Regardless of what is said about the offense or the players etc., they STILL have to get out there on the field.....in a LIVE game and perform! UNTIL they do that consistently, I NEVER buy into the Ravens hook, line and sinker as most of my Ravens brothers and sisters do.

I'm from the old school! You have to SHOW ME more than YOU TELL ME! I don't need stats to tell me what my eyes do and normally for me; I can pretty much tell what type of team the Ravens are going to be between the 3rd to the 5th week into the regular season. How is that? Well, old habits and patterns are hard to shake and break even for football teams. Over the past few seasons, the Ravens have been a mediocre ball club. And 9 weeks into the season.....just guess what they are now? MEDIOCRE!

Dr. Phil has this saying that I love. He states; "A great predictor of future behavior is past behavior". If you want to know what type of team the Ravens are more than likely to be (unless something drastically happens) unfortunately, all you have to do is to just look at their past few seasons and voila. Now, that doesn't mean that the Ravens "can't" improve because they can. But, for some odd reason with the Ravens....they just don't! And it's sickening!

It’s why he has to go. He keeps injuring our players to fulfill his own ends

We should go recommend him to other teams fans on their boards.... yeah totally. If Detroit is tired of Patricia already, 2 Harbaugh coaches in the same state? WHY NOT! If BB and Brady can't stand each other, I'm sure fans will love his injury curse, using injuries to cover up cheating. If the Steelers are tired of Tomlin coming up short every year, Harbaugh fits perfectly as they love injury drama! If Aaron Rodgers is tired of having receivers to throw too, Harbaugh is the perfect coach in Green Bay!

I actually was thinking the same thing. He wasn’t even close to our worst lineman on Sunday. I was surprised to say the least that he held his ground for much of the game. Itd definitely be nice to have a semi serviceable backup LT (probably have that in senat in years to come anyway though) so let’s hope he continues this apparent upward trend

That award goes to skura by default. My god I think he had to have had his worst game of the year sunday

Make some calls decosta! 5th round pick for harbs

Pretty sure if Harbaugh was on the market, he'd last less than a week. And with our luck, he'll go to Cleveland where they actually spent money and picks on their offense. Here's hoping Baltimore doesn't have those Don Shula flashbacks.
