Joe Flacco

I don’t see joe as giving us the best chance to win with the way he’s played, and if he does give us the “best” chance to win, I highly doubt it is enough to make the playoffs.

And yes I would be upset if we missed the postseason with joe, if we started lamar and missed I wouldn’t be nearly as upset. I’d be upset if lamar gave us nothing to look forward to and looked terrible, but not upset about missing. Once lamar starts it’s all abou the future and I don’t see the present team as a team that will make the playoffs.

With the way the colts have been playing I’m beginning to think the 6 seed might come from the south, with the colts, Texans, and titans you just don’t know who’s gonna win the division and who’s gonna be in the running for the 6, but it’s gonna be a logjam, and I think the titans are likely gonna be one game shorter than everyone else and the tiebreaker won’t even apply.

I know you know this but to state the obvious, at this point they have to do what give's them the best chance to win. Is that starting LJ? Could be possible, but I think you would agree at this point it's not likely the case. I completely understand wanting to prep for the future but they can't start down that road until being eliminated from a spot in the tournament.

The crazy thing is though, that I think lamar gives us a better chance to win. Joe before the injury was playing god awful, and we’ve seen how an injured joe plays. If joe was healthy and missing reads consistently, delivering too late on his reads and ruining plays, missing throws, etc. then what’s gonna happen when he’s injured? Yeah I don’t see any way that joe gives us some better chance to win.

I am pretty sure @Tank has Bob in mind, not Lamar in case Joe can't go.
Which makes no sense. Dude just sat for season and a half now and wasn't anything to write home about to begin with.

Someone told me Lamar is not practicing today? Could that be true? Flacco wasn't practicing

lamar apparently had a stomach issue - he was in the locker room per zrebiec and he was well enough to mess around in the snow a little bit (photo from a ravens PR guy)

So Lamar was shitting his brains out,Flacco has a bum hip and RGIII hasnt played a snap in the regular season.

We are looking good for Cincy!

I don’t think you really believe that, but OK. lol

Why would I not believe that? I’ve watched joe this past month, and I’ve seen injured joe play many times, have you? If you think THAT guy gives you a chance to win I have to question what you’ve seen.

I'm thinking the Ravens are just trying to make Cincy prepare for three different possible QBs.
I don’t think so, they have nothing to gain from it, Bengals have no useful film on either, and Harbaugh still desperately wants to hold on to slim playoff hopes and still thinks that any rookie is completely incompetent. Skura is still gonna start over a healthy Bozeman because he’s a rookie, James hurst started over Zeus ffs despite us having a big liability at LG, nick boyle still gets an ungodly number of snaps when he should be an automatic scratch in any game where hurst is healthy, peanut still stealing snaps from young, etc.

It’s a trend that will never end with Harbaugh even with his ass in the coals, he automatically sees rookies as incompetent and untrustworthy (unless of course it’s some late round special teamer or a heart of a lion guy who’s “worked hard” and “earned” his spot).

Flacco is gonna start this week, I just about guarantee it. Lamar won’t see real qb snaps til week 17 because harbs doesn’t want any hard feelings with joe.

im not convinced by that hit by rapsheet - the frustrations he brought up only came up after he was prompted about what it would mean if RGIII were to start and then he made some vague comment about saying the ravens were frustrated with lamar's progress on gameday morning - that just doesnt jive to me with what the coaches are showing and telling us - maybe he's not ready to start but if the ravens were frustrated with his progress we definitely wouldnt be seeing him more frequently as the season continues and being talked about getting a whole series

unless the coaches are flat out lying to us about i find it hard to believe that from rapsheet - it was a tiny throwaway line that's been turned into a headline and im not sure how convinced rapsheet was in it - its the kind of thing you'd probably lead with not hardly mention towards the end of a 2 minute hit about whether lamar starts or not...

maybe he's right - im skeptical though - we havent heard anything from schefter, hensley, garafolo or rapsheet anywhere outside that hit...
