Joe Flacco

Bah, that's what he does. Manufactured controversy. Watching his stupid show is just a waste of time.

I agree, basically forced arguing BUT, I feel this one is different than him just taking the opposite stance of his partner. He's always trolled Flacco, this is just a double standard and unfair grudge

lol And after Oakland everyone was shitting rainbows too. One great performance against a piss poor team that gave them crazy motivation to bury them does NOT mean all the issues have magically disappeared nor that our coordinators are magically great. Sorry. The issues are still there and we'll be exactly what we are until they are addressed. Up and down, good and God awful, always potentially in the post season but ultimately also rans.
I could only shit one, but there you go!

Even when we were losing, I wasn't part of the "clean house" bandwagon.

I'm STILL saying that we need to clean house!

That win last week doesn't change a damn thing in my mind. To me, it was just a good but VERY NEEDED win but against a "trashy" offense! Let's wait for them to be consistent instead of all of this up and down :poop: they normally put on the field from game to game before we (In my Dennis Green voice)...."Crown their asses!" You can't put a band-aid over a bullet wound! We still got problems that will come back to bite us later if not quickly addressed-GUARANTEED!

His shtick got old rather quickly. GUARANTEE you that if this Brady or Dak, he'd be having the opposite reaction.

I get what you're saying, but I'm not "crowning" them either. I'm simply saying that despite our shitty offense, we're still in the thick of a highly competitive Wild Card race. Nobody is really running away with a Wild Card spot either. This BYE week next week will be HUUUUUGGEEE for us.

well I can see one of our mods is arguing for ignorance and man is he wearing that crown well. perfect noggin for it. prime topic but gonna truncate some for brevity.
I posted the freeze frame earlier, Alonso is still upright on his feet and not even into his "launch" when Flacco is flat on his back on the ground. Could he have avoided contact? No I don't think so. Then you can see in the next pic I posted that Alonso not only did not let up, did not make any attempt to avoid the hit, but tucked his arm in, aimed that shoulder, and came full steam. Don't know what crap you're looking at because yes, there was a slide and by NFL rule, once Flacco begins his slide, that ball is dead.

Mallet filled the bill? lmao He threw 7 times and only completed 3 of those passes. Collins filled the bill. Mallet was garbage as usual.

let me ask you this. do you believe the NFL would draft a separate dead ball rule for quarterbacks as opposed to ballcarriers in general? because you and one of our mods don't have a clue what you're laying out here. essentially, you're making it up as you go. And that's where rayrayraven comes in. I'm here to help and to educate. Go to Rule 7 (d)(2). Is this really that hard guys? don't you want to understand NFL football?

Just so we're clear- the rule clearly states that a runner is considered down when he begins to give himself up. Right at that spot, he is down.

really?...really? oh well have no fear, rayrayraven is here to help. what if a qb fakes going down, you know drops his butt a little but then takes off. don't you think that becomes overly "interpretative" for already highly challenged referees? of course you do. look at Rule 7(d)(2) and enjoy the game more!

I'm livid that there's even a debate about whether or not to suspend Alonso. Suspend his ass. You claim to care about player safety and your quarterbacks, so you best make an example of him.

suspension would be extremely unfair.

Skip Bayless is that you???

I share Skip's sentiments on this one and don't believe he should have been flagged. Joe gave himself up far to late and created the issue.

At this point, guys, ignore RayRayRaven or what ever the name is. It's clear he's not up for reasonable discussion because he openly condoned head hunting. I'm just going to ask you all to flat out ignore him because it appears he is trying very hard to troll, which would be nothing new.

I rarely share your views, though I think its due to background and skillsets.

Has anyone seen that arrogant monster Skip Bayless say the Flacco hit shouldn't even be flagged ? He takes his hate for the man way too far, he is just a troll, that's all he is

OU your views are likely influenced by being a flacco backer and a fan. Skip is not influenced like that and I want a different quarterback in so my views are not influenced like many here

Skip isn't impartial on Flacco though. I like the effort on the responses though , efficient

(d) running, diving into, or throwing the body against or on a runner whose forward progress has been stopped, who has slid feet first, or who has declared himself down by going to the ground untouched and has made no attempt to advance (see 7-2-1-a, d);
forcibly hitting the defenseless player’s head or neck area with the helmet, facemask, forearm, or shoulder, even if the initial contact is lower than the player’s neck, and regardless of whether the defensive player also uses his arms to tackle the defenseless player by encircling or grasping him

That's from the rulebook, so we're clear.

He posted it himself. Guess he is clear now.

Why are ignoring Rule 7 (d) (1)? Which clearly states ; "A defender must pull up when a runner begins a feet-first slide. This does not mean that all contact by a defender is illegal. If a defender has already committed himself, and the contact is unavoidable, it is not a foul unless the defender commits some other act, such as helmet-to-helmet contact or by driving his forearm or shoulder into the head or neck area of the runner.

I rest my case here. Because now you ARE trolling. Alonso was 5 yards away when Flacco began to slide. He let up not one iota. After Flacco is flat on his back on the ground, he tucks his arm and aims his shoulder for his head. So is it really that hard for YOU to understand what is clearly stated in that rule?

lol No because he completely ignored the section that calls what Alonso did illegal and skipped to the next part.

don't mess with rayrayraven on the rules or the draft. you have no idea!

now you're referring to behind the line of scrimmage. study those rules they'll help you enjoy the game

lol No it isn't behind the line of scrimmage. It is quite literally the rule right before the one you quoted about illegal hits to runners. So sorry, you're dead wrong and clearly either don't understand the rules when you read them or are just an unmitigated troll that should be banned.
