im not surprised at all!Fun fact:
The Ravens are 8-22 when Flacco throws more than 45 passes in a game and 2-9 when Flacco throws more than 50 passes in a game.

I dont really mind who the qb is, id just imagine most teams lose when they throw 50+ timesYou actually can easily, but it'd be pretty time consuming.
To do it, just go use ProFootballReference and hit game logs. It'll show you every single game by that player.
Issue is, I'm not sure how to filter by individual team, so if the quarterback changed, you'd have to know who the new one is.
I'd have to dig in some. The Patriots, for example, are 18-9 (67%).I dont really mind who the qb is, id just imagine most teams lose when they throw 50+ times

Yeah, you would think that would be obvious to most.I dont really mind who the qb is, id just imagine most teams lose when they throw 50+ times
And they have historically and often used the dink and dunk by design in lieu of a running game. The Pats like to run up the score though. Th eff y have never really taken a foot off the gas when up 28 like most teams do
These types of statistics are always so skewed. Most teams run at the end of a game to waste clock if they have a good lead. I’d like to keep him to less than 45 to have closer to a 60/40 balance pass/run, but not because Flacco doesn’t win when he passes this much. Even staying balanced can be skewed towards the end of each half.
Well, TBF it should have been a win.there's a bit of a cause and effect problem here...
when you're throwing that much - the vast majority of the time you are throwing that much because you are already losing...
ironically this browns game is one of the few exceptions because we were never more than 6 points behind
Sure you do; as you would with anything related to anything negative about Joe, but as I recently wrote...Unrelated to your post, I call bullshit. lol
Apparently he really is that blindsided. Are you Flacco fanboys so blinded that you cannot see this entire argument is not a knock on Joe but rather on our atrocious play calling in Cleveland?
He is not the type of quarterback who can succeed throwing that much. Definitely not the QB who can do it while D knows what's coming. Get over it. Not many QBs are.
I wasn't taking it as an insult to joe. I was just curious as to know the figures and per tanks post its quite remarkable we have actually done this 12 times...The intent wasn't to say that Flacco is some scrub because he can't throw 50 passes a game and win and ither quarterbacks can. Rather, it was to help show that it's actually really difficult to win with an off balance gameplan, even for someone like Brees who routinely leads the NFL in passing yards, although, I'd imagine much of that comes down to the Saints D, but that's another discussion.
Anyway, I was flipping through some of the games where the Ravens went uber pass heavy and kinda ditched the run game and it'd be the Ravens trailing by 10 in the second quarter, but never trailing by more.
It's those types of games that are so frustrating. I understand the run game chews up clock, but you know what else does? Huddling up after every single play.
I don't have any official way to support this, but I'd imagine the time run off between huddling without ever running and the time run off from running the ball, but going no huddle is comparable.
We know Joe is extremely comfortable in a high tempo offense; why not let him let loose in the no huddle and keep the running game going? Force defenders into the box and keep John Brown cleaner.
If your talking to me... see post aboveAre you Flacco fanboys so blinded that you cannot see this entire argument is not a knock on Joe but rather on our atrocious play calling in Cleveland?

Yeah, it's right on par with Drew Brees and I believe he came into the league five years earlier. But then you look at Aaron Rodgers and Rodgers has like 5, I think, and that's a team where everyone is like, "THEY HAVE NO RUN GAME!"I wasn't taking it as an insult to joe. I was just curious as to know the figures and per tanks post its quite remarkable we have actually done this 12 times...
The record is Record: 80-251-2 (Win% : 24%)
I am not.If your talking to me... see post above
