My thought was prior to hearing about the injury. I just don’t like throwing Lamar out there against a team that knows us so well and has dominated us for so long.

Should be worried that Lamar could get injured. O-line not up to par.
 
I guess the guy calling into 1057 The Fan today was right or he heard these reports. He said he saw Joe coming out of the facility on crutches so maybe there’s some credence to this. I hope Joe is OK. Say what you want about his play lately but he’s a good guy and I always liked him. I don’t want him to be seriously hurt or anything like Dennis.

Yeah at first I kind of got excited about getting to see Lamar play but RG3 is gonna get the start if joe is out

This. I could never shit on joe other than say he’s playing bad. I even feel guilty for being hype about lamar, i will ALWAYS be a Flacco fan and I just can’t understand how there is any ravens fan out there who doesn’t have a soft spot for the guy, he’s one of the most likeable personalities for those that are exposed to him enough to see who he really is, the rest of the nfl fans see his nonchalant demeanor and think he’s just some boring dude playing out his time but we know joe better and we see who he is, and to me he’s always gonna be my favorite qb.
 
Joe has a hip injury and may not play. This guy is done.Put a fork in him and start Lamar.

Joe is terrible against Cincy all the time anyway. Only one game I can remember he was good and that was at home ,opening game i think,

Perriman seemed to be a good guy as well and didnt stop anyone from tearing him down. The fan base was calling out Reed and Lewis by the end of their time and their careers are way more accomplished. It is what it is. Jimmy's still probably my favorite player on the roster now and he can be gone next year too if his play doesn't pick up.
 
Seeing reports say surgery may be needed. If so I say start the Lamar era, tell Joe to get surgery if needed ASAP to preserve trade value in the offseason.
 
I don't want Lamar to start not because Lamar isn't capable of starting and winning us games right now, but because we had a plan for when to start him and I want us to stick with it just like KC stuck with the Mahomes situation. The reason we have RGIII is precisely when Joe gets hurt or plays horribly like he's capable at times. Let Lamar stick with his protocol especially when the O-line is not fully healthy. He is too important to this franchise right now.

I agree with you that we should get him healed up prior to trading him. But where did you hear surgery was needed? And when did this injury happen?
