Joe Flacco

how long would Joe have to be here with the new coach. If he can just be here for one year, then I'd say Harbaugh.

I appreciate both for what they have done as well. The players still play for Harbaugh and he is respected in Baltimore and around the league for being a very good coach. Too often we don't use rookies when they are better then the player in front of them, too often the player behind him isn't getting enough playing time then the veteran and in many instances they are playing out of position. We don't know everything that is going into that decision, for sure, but it happens over and over again.

I'm also not a fan of Harbaugh's offensive coordinator hires and would really like an offensive minded to run the team. One that can take advantage of Lamar's gifts. I would be ok with a defensive coach also, as long as we hired a creative offensive coordinator that can take advantage of Lamar's gifts. However the problem with that comes when we lose the OC to another team. I'd rather have to replace a defensive coach then an offensive coach. I'd rather the QB learn one system and not have to relearn systems over and over again. Every coach has differences in verbiage, even if its from one version of the WCO to another. .

Anyway in my opinion, Harbaugh's message is getting stale, good coach or not, and his message needs to be changed because the franchise has been stuck in the mud the last several season. I wish him success wherever he goes. That goes for Joe as well.

So without further adieu, my answer is replace Harbaugh and keep Flacco if I had to make a choice. Flacco can still be replaced later with Lamar Jackson.
Why waste Lamar's years? Best prep is in-game prep, no substitute for it.
Whether we go 8-8 with Joe or 4-12 with Lamar (which I seriously doubt) it doesn't matter but we get a full year of evaluation of Lamar's progress, at least.

Now here’s an interesting question : if you could only choose one to go, who would you choose : Harbaugh or Flacco?

I appreciate both for what they’ve done but I feel like Joe would be in a better position to continue to contribute positively in the future than John can. I love John as a person but I think we need new leadership.
So who would I choose to go between Harbaugh or Flacco? Like that one hostess of The Weakest Link would say: Joe, "You ARE the weakest link! Goodbye!"

I didn't say lamar wouldn't beat flacco out and start anyway.

We don’t free up cap space firing Harbaugh, we also don’t stunt Lamar’s growth, I’m keeping harbs over joe.
i can definitely understand that, but then you have to extend harbaugh more than one year, because he won't go for a one yr extension again.

then harbaugh will need to fire Marty. who do you replace him with? Do you replace him with Roman or someone from outside the organization.

we can't really go to Kubiak because a pierre scheme doesn't work with him and if we go back to zbs then Orlando Brown wouldn't be a fit among others that need to be replaced anyways

Flacco and it’s not even close. It’s not because Joe sucks or anything but I want to see John without Joe. I think we’ve screwed up the Flacco situation and he needs a new team. I don’t hear players defending Flacco like they do Lamar maybe they do but I’ve heard a lot of Lamar talk lately by them.

I would agree with the idea behind John’s message getting stale but after watching the videos it seems the players love him. I don’t think the message is stale with them. He does need to get better coordinators though. Successful leadership involves knowing what you can and cannot do and getting people around you to do what you cannot

I just don’t know, John doesn’t seem to do a good job at anything aside from abstract leadership and inspiring speeches. Then again we know what we got and I’m not sure what coaches are out there right now as viable replacements.
