Joe Flacco

To be fair, they put Alex Collins on the field who put them in position to score. I still agree with you though

Collins on the field.....Flacco off the field.....Mallett to Watson - TD! :D

Question: " How is it that our "starting" QB of 10 years couldn't manage to put the team in position to score a single TD, gets PULLED, and the "backup" QB comes in....with the same trashy O-line and the same stone hand receivers and throws a TD to another "starter" in Ben Watson?"

Per the link:

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco was pulled in favor of Ryan Mallett during the fourth quarter of Sunday's 44-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

Mallett took over with the team trailing 44-0. Although the benching likely was a response to protect Flacco in a game out of reach, he was struggling mightily when he left. He completed only 8 of 18 passes for 28 yards and also threw two interceptions.

Mallett got the Ravens on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter on a 6-yard TD pass to tight end Benjamin Watson.

I hope you watched the game and didn't take your info from NFL.com who often post articles for click bait... mallet came in with the second stringers along with Jacksonvilles second string guys...

I agree we need to start looking for a replacement I can't name how many arguments I've been in defending Flacco and like many after this game I gave up but I truly think it's a lack of star power on this offense we have nothing our QB is good but needs pieces to help him the only QBs who could make this offense excel are he obvious ones I don't think I need to name them but I think if you throw people like Big Ben and or anyone not names Aaron Rodgers or tom Brady or drew you get the same results no one on this offense is scary we are so predictable I believe if we invest in the offense Joe will do well he needs help that's the facts but we could have way way worse with this starless offense and I mean way worse

No! I took my information from the FACT that Joe with the 1st stringers couldn't get the job done and Mallett came in with the second stringers but threw a TD....something Joe didn't and couldn't do....to another starting player...Watson to get on the board.

To hell with what stringers came in for the Jaguars. I don't give a damn about that team. So, don't miss the main point that's being made.

the offense as a whole is atrocious. average o-line due to many injuries. weak rb group. weak receiving corp and what the hell happened to the te group that was supposed to be a strength and for those of you saying we should have drafted oj howard the dude has 2 catches thus far. we have a qb that seems to be on the decline at least thats what he has shown me these past few years. i do not blame marty but i would like to see more quick strike plays like wr screens and slants and allow the speed guys to have a chance for big gains. we need a leonard fournette type back that carries defenders. maybe flacco should do what rodgers does and that is take an extra few dropback steps to buy him and the receivers time to get open. front office must and i mean must add playmakers to the offense in the off season. perriman imo at this point in time is wasting a roster spot. the guy has shown me nothing. camponaro gets hit and flies arounf like a rag doll. wallace and maclin are serviceable but no longer dominant and do not scare any defense. for this offense to get better everyone needs to elevate their game and be on the same page or we will be an inconsistent team yet once again. the bright side is our division seems to be weak so we have a chance especially if big ben goes down.

As bad as Joe played his first int maclin shluldve caught that that was a perfectly placed ball and the second one was an amazing play by Ramsey so neither were really ugly throws and the offense wasn't helping by just not giving him time or getting open on the receivers part I'm not sticking up for him he should've played better period he's a franchise QB and we all should expect more but at the same time he needs help period he's not Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers he needs help and without the front offic investing in this offense this is what we will get period and please don't go on about how we should get a different QB Arods and Brady's don't grow on trees not a single QB in the NFL could've played well with that offense yesterday except Brees Rodgers and Brady period that's my point

by the time they bring in the playmakers and they are ready to contribute flacco will be at the end of his contract and that is where the front office dropped the ball. when they drafted him in the 1st rd they should have built the offense around him with the stud players and let him do his thing. now it is almost too late.

I completely agree anyone who thinks Joe or Harbaugh are out after this season are delusional though with all the injuries and suspensions harbaugh will for sure get a pass and I think he still deserves one but I think this years draft we go kid the offense and next year is do or die for the both of them

I’m sorry but if your WRs amass just 15 yards on the day total, than I don’t see how your QB doesn’t get the majority of the blame. Let’s not act like Maclin and Wallace are some bums, these guys can play and that’s what frustrates me the most. These two can seriously be great for us, along with Perriman and these guys just cannot get the ball in their hands. I don’t know if I can look around the league and see a duo of WRs who’s numbers look this bad, not to mention there are QBs in a far worse situation and yet not playing nearly as bad. What frustrates me the most however is that Joe knows exactly what his issues are and that he needs to clean them up yet he’s doing the same exact things that he’s messing up on the field. I just don’t know about him anymore, for all we know he can play lights out vs Pittsburgh and then play terribly bad the very next week. I don't think our reciever group is bad, I think it's actually better than most think and I think Watson as a TE is better than what we've had recently. Joe just needs to get it together.

Then don't!

Listen, Flacco is a bum! We've had 10 years....10 years of watching this dude man! What else do you need to see? It's always the same old excuses for this dude year in and year out. If we had a better O-line, if the receivers could get separation, if the receivers wouldn't drop the passes etc, etc. At some point, the purple visors must come off to see clearly. The man was 8-18 with 28 yards passing and 2 INT's yesterday! Damn that's awful! C'mon now! Sure, the entire team looked and played like trash but this is a typical performance from Flacco...nothing new!

How can you say the team played like trash but expect one player to play well above them?

I've been a Flacco supporter for awhile. But if he keeps this shit up he needs to go. Period. I don't give a damn about his former inconsistent play. He's consistently bad now.

Thank god next year's QB class is good.
even with a solid qb class and a possible high draft pick the front office will draft another defensive player with the 1st few picks. hehehe

well it is beginning to get to the point where if flacco is garbage this sunday we will begin to hear the booing. the offense needs to get it together as a whole and soon. im sure marty will get canned and roman will take over.

Man - yesterday was really, really bad. I mean off the charts awful. Not just Joe, but pretty much the whole damn team.

In order for us to move on from Flacco, it is going to take a cataclysmic failure this year. A dreadful season of epic proportions. Why? Because as an organization we've continued to double-down on Joe. With every extension and restructure we've bulldozed piles of cash into out-years of his seemingly never ending contract.

Cutting him lose next year is going to signal a years long rebuild that will take 3-4 to get back to .500 ... and that's ONLY IF we draw a top 5 pick next year, nail a promising young QB and have that pick pan out. That's going to be hard to do, because we'll be waving goodbye to multiple FAs along the way, as we recover from the bloated contracts we're having to get out from under. We'll net lose $4M tossing Flacco out in 2018.

So we're going to have to go 2-12 for the remainder of this year to take this approach. After seeing this team yesterday, this is entirely possible, but then - it might not be. We have to see how the rest of this season plays out.

He didn't play bad against the Browns and really didn't have to do anything against the Bengals.

Yeah he was terrible against the Jags.

We do have to start looking for our future QB post Flacco. I'm sure they already are.

correct, this is a team game. If everyone is playing bad around you, especially the offensive line, then chances are the qb is going to play bad also.

This is a challenge for everyone that will go unanswered. Name a franchise qb that was consistently the best in the league that had a bad offensive line. There was no one, absolutely no top flight qb had a bad offensive line. Yes, Flacco has sucked the last couple of years and he's never been an elite qb, but now when he has a couple good wr's he has no offensive line. It makes no sense at all.

Flacco is going through what Eli is going through at this point.

That O-line man....outside of Stanley?
