Joe Flacco

Joe is a QB in the NFL. He is use to changes! Especially, after being in the league for 10 years now. And these O.C. don't change much, maybe some verbiage here or there. So, that different coordinator stuff doesn't fly as an excuse anymore for his piss poor game play.
There's no legit excuse for throwing an INT for 9 straight games. On the old boards I consistently defended him but I'm getting over it, he's just not playing well and it's something we have to start accepting, I hope he turns it around and I would love him to prove me wrong but as of now he's just not dependable.

I never mentioned any quarterbacks in the post that you quoted.

And, for the kind of money that this BUM is getting paid....he better be on his game! Wow! The "settling for" and "acceptance" of this bum's below mediocre QB play, after he's been starting for 10 years is just mind-blowing!:wacko:

Thought for sure you quoted saying "That’s why you pay a quarterback so much money: The good ones can mask a team’s weaknesses.Unfortunately, Flacco is not a good quarterback" . My post was a response to that and the good ones don't have to deal with consistent offensive coordinator changes. It's not even about setting for or accepting Joe Flacco performance but actually see it for what it is. I'm not going to pretend like a quarterback coming off a back injury causing him to miss most of training camp and preseason is going to step out on the field during the first few weeks of the season and light it up because he's been in the league for 10 years and getting paid alot of money. Flacco not a robot unfortunately.

No - patience wore too thin, that was inexcusable. If he is on the field, back is not an issue. Not for $25M.

I'm saying his back is issue but missing so much time due to his back is . This is totally a new offense right now like this is not Gary Kubiak hybrid offense but Marty Morhinweg offense. 25 million or not, Flacco missed alot of valuable time due to his back before the season started.

no offense but gary kubiak has always made scrubs look good..and flaccos season under kubiak wasnt sensational by any means, he was solid/good. Flaccos greatest 2 seasons ever were 2010 and 2014, and they were hardly amazing.. they were solid numbers.

If you look at numbers your completely correct. I would argue 2011 and 2012 were also very good seasons, regardless of the numbers for him. If we want to be a really good team, we don't need 2014 Flacco, just a 22-11 TD/INT ratio where he protects the ball and makes enough plays to win when we need him. He has been a turnover machine with an inability to make enough plays or comeback drives.

I get what you're saying but 10 year veteran on top $$ should be able to handle that stuff and play not worse than average. We are not talking Jaguars game only, that's the extreme. It was the previous season as well - couple long_ish passes aside, all he did was dunks to Pitta and RBs. Senior and Wallace always made yards after the catch, Pitta couldn't do even that but he couldn't hit guys long to save his life for the most part. Every long pass looked more like a pick than a catch.

First off we were a disaster on Sunday. A total unmitigated disaster. Flacco looked like a deer in headlights all game and so did our entire team, coaches included. We were bamboozled by the Jags and smacked right in the mouth repeatedly. It almost felt like Ali using Harbs' favorite phrase "What's my name?", but only the Jags were Ali!! I am so disappointed in Flacco it's sad.

He played like shite, didn't give a shite about playing like shite and that bothers the shite out of me!! He doesn't seem to give a fuck about anything period. He knows we have no choice but to keep him on and that really is frustrating. We need to bench him and trade for a QB that is better than Mallet. Actually Mallet was better than Flacco under pressure. A lot better. So, till we get another QB in a trade, bench Joe if he starts performing like a sissy against pressure. Just sit his butt down and don't give him any importance. If Harbs had any balls or conviction he would put Flacco in his doghouse for a bit. But, that won't happen for several reasons.

In any case, its time to start looking at the draft for a QB next year even if it means mortgaging several picks to get the QB of the future. Go all in Ozzie for the QB that has some charisma, personality and talent. We really miss that.

black is correct. somewheres we went from a ground game O with the long downfield play to cant run no yards and a dinky dunk pass game.

dinky dunk does not suit joe. with kubiak we had a great run game with forsett. and joe was able to fire longer balls at times. if we cant run we cant use joejoe. he needs to throw downfield. if you are tryin to get him to make 4 reads and hit a back check down flush in stride with a 35% effort ball joejoe aint ever getting there

flacco has 3 td and 4 int to this point. gonna give him the pitsburgh game to show he wants the team on his shoulders. we could still trade him but we wont get a whole lot now. two years ago it would have been a juicy harvest. now we'd be lucky to get a #2.

Joe doesn't have the time to throw long balls. I'm not defending his play though which as been very subpar.

There is only one guy on our offensive line that is a starter in the NFL and that is Stanley.

I think I'll always be a Flacco defender my entire life. With the Ravens luck, Flacco will post MVP type numbers his last season in the NFL when he finally gets weapons and an o-line to give him time in the pocket and to have a solid run game, and it will make every fan in the NFL wonder what could have been if he was surrounded his entire career.

Flacco now is your time to show the world you still got it against Pittsburgh this Sunday.

Gotcha! No! I didn't say that @Sandtown , the person who wrote the article that I posted and you quoted did.

Joe is untradeable because of his contract. All of his guaranteed money would be accelerated and we don't have the cap space to be able to fit it under the cap. He will be here through atleast the 2018 season.

I hope this happens but sooner than his last year. What's more likely is we trade him to a team actually committed to building around a franchise QB and he lights it up with them.

Some will say that there wasn't nothing sensational about Matt Ryan first season under Kyle Shanahan . I know he had over 4,000+ passing yards but if you passing the ball 600+ times and have one of the best receiver in the game such as Julio Jones to throw to then that definitely helps those numbers. It wasn't until Matt Ryan second season under Kyle Shanahan that he had a real sensational season. Joe Flacco never got that opportunity with Gary Kubiak like Matt Ryan did with Kyle Shanahan. He never got the opportunity to build off a solid season that he had with Gary Kubiak because Kubiak left for his dream job in Denver.

Joe Flacco other best season in 2010 was the same year that Jim Zorn was hired as The Ravens quarterback coach for the first time. Zorn later on was fired after one year with The Ravens which Joe Flacco himself was dissatisfied about and made it known. I have no idea why Zorn was fired but it defintinely wasn't for not doing a good job. So not only was 2010 one of Flacco best season but he didn't even get the opportunity to build with his own quarterback coach after that year. I don't really need to speak further about Cam Cameron offense because it was nothing spectacular about his play calling and he really is the type of offensive coordinator you want to help develop your quarterback for the first three years of their career but not after that.

There is a consistent pattern when it comes Joe Flacco two best seasons of his career which is the lack of continuity.

The best offenses(and QBs) have consistency year to year in scheme . To say the least the Ravens have been a model of inconsistency.

I think the magic number for our defense to hold opposing offenses to is 20 points. Flacco is a product of a good defense and even better run game. If he is surrounded by those two things, he can win us football games. I cringe when the game is in his hands. Though, we've all seen him make the plays to win games, I'm just not sure it's there anymore, and his consistency has always been an issue.

Great point! And THAT has been one of my major gripes about Flacco.

The Ravens are my team. I'll be at the game on Sunday in support of them to get a "W" over our heated rivals. However, I'm just so sick and tired of the inconsistency with the QB. I hate it with a passion! Regardless of how hard I come down on him, I want Flacco to succeed and to look "great" while doing it! That's my expectations from the starting QB of my team. And I make no apologizes for that!

I don't need him to be Manning, I don't need him to be Brady, Brees or Rodgers etc., I just don't need him to be a BUM! And as for now, and what I've seen from him over the past few seasons within a 10 year span; he's a BUM in comparison to so many others in the league that came in before him and even from those who came after him. He's a sub-par, sub-mediocre QB. Every now and then he may "flash" being a good QB but after 10 years in this league as a "STARTER," should he merely be "flashing" every now and then or "should he be" a good QB by now?

Wait! Let me guess....NEXT SEASON....his 11th....will be Joe's year....right? SMH! :D:cool:
