Joe Flacco

I have us losing out and the giants and browns winning 2 games plus so theres a chance. The only game that i'm worried about us winning is vs the bears.

serious, i'd love to lose out for the draft pick, but don't think we are that bad. harball and ozze are gonna try to get to 8-8 as hard as they can to save their jobs.

Do not... I repeat, DO NOT WASTE A FIRST ON A QB. Picks 1-3 better be OL, OL and OL/RB in any order. It's also been shown you don't need to use a first for a qb. Tyrod Taylor was a 6th round pick, Wilson 3rd, Carr 2nd and Dak 4th. Build the OL. I also don't want a young mind being molded by Flacco seeing how he's displayed his superior reads and sound mechanics...

if we finish 2-14 we better draff a qb first round. Derek Carr is out, we are facing EJ Manual. If we don't win that game I'll be stunned and Flacco should be cut.

I still question Darnold....I feel like being a USC qb is more important to him than playing in the NFL. If you follow his story youll see what i mean. I could see him get lazy at the next level. Meanwhile, Rosen is as stuborn as a horses ass. I like Allen best because hes actually faced some kind of adversity in his career and life that I think can shape and grow a man. Either way, theyre all rich boys from Cali

Darnold is my man. I want him in the worstest way. But he stated he is likely not coming out for the 2018 draft.

I believe kap can move the chains better in this offense than Flacco. Flacco is just like Jay Cutler, big arm turnover machines. And please don't forget lacks leadership.

The problem taking Kap now is that he has no time to absorb our system. He was a no brainer but we have a no brain FO

That is correct.

Wallace took the corner out of the play and Perriman had a correct idea of getting open into wide open space inside. Flacco threw the ball where Perriman was, not where Perriman was going. And it was too high for no reason.

In coverage slomo from the other angle clearly shows Perriman has already started moving the opposite direction.

that throw is all on flacco. no way perriman or jerry rice catch that ball. total air mail wide open

What does Kap need to succeed? He played in 12 games last year for the inept Niners offense and put up 16 TDs to only 4 INTs. At the very least, we can have him manage games by NOT turning the ball over. Listen, I'm in no way saying that Kap is a better quarterback than Flacco when you consider everything, but it's clear that Flacco isn't right and hasn't been right since Kubiak left. Flacco has always had some issues with turning the ball over, at times, but, in the past, we could at least expect him to make up for it with his positive plays. Now? He consistently fails to impress and this streak of 10 straight games with an INT seems to have no end in sight.
Please stop it with those garbage time stats that he acquired because they were losing so badly the other team just sat back. He isn't good.

I am one that feels as though we have no talent at these skilled positions offensively accept for maybe Maclin and Watson. And then again, it could also be a combination of Marty's inability (like Cam and Trestman) to utilize all of them properly!
Good, but not great at most.

We have some fast players, but fast is only so valuable when you are empty handed.
For me personally, I feel like they're good, but not great, just like K-Dog. I can 100% agree with that.

Personally, I think if you look at the starters (Watson, Wallace, Collins, Maclin), that's a pretty solid group. Boyle has shown in the past that he's a fairly reliable target and West and Allen are both helping to shoulder what has turned out to be a surprisingly good running game.

When I look at Perriman on as far as receivers, I feel like I want more, but as far as just the starters go at wide receiver and the backups at tight end and running back, I actually think this group is pretty good overall.

So hes not a game winner anymore, give him a ground game and defense and he's a game manager who doesnt turn the ball over.

So, there seems to be a small minority of people who think the skill positions are bad for the Ravens and lack talent.

I want to hear how others feel with regards to the talent at the offensive skill positions.

Skill positions? come on man!
our best player is Yanda bar none. even injured an on IR he IS our best player.
then following closely comes Justin Tucker. Tucker is our only hope to get to the playoffs. WE MUST position for every 60-70 yard Field Goal we can.
Then comes our punter. whats his name? dang it escapes me but he is a stud.

if you think i'm joking. I most certainly am not. trade the others, everything must go!

This has absolutely nothing to do with what I asked, but okay...

If we had someone like Rodgers or Wilson theyd be beaten up but kicking ass, Maclin would be on his way to another pro bowl.

I always had my doubts about Flacco's QB ability, but thought I was too harsh on him and my expectations for our QB was maybe too high. However, over the past few years, I am absolutely convinced Flacco is just a sub-par QB who is very streaky. However these streaks are very few and far between. Now, this year, he has totally regressed and not it isn't lack of TC or his back. It is his head - football head. He has no football IQ and can't process game speed well and can't go through his progressions without buckling under pressure. He is too mistake prone and too inaccurate to be among the highest paid QBs in the league. In my view, a player of his quality right now should not be a starting QB in the league.

you slow the game down for joejoe by establishing a good running game and having a defense be very stingy.

but joejoe is certainly not streaky. streaky implies theres good games mixed in with bad games. joejoes good games are so rare its more accurate to call them "once in a blue moon". your grandparents know what that means. FYI how many blue moons a year are there anyway?

The Ravens are 32nd in pass yard per game and the next to last team in PYD per game is the Buffalo Bills who are passing for 30 more yards per game than the Ravens.

Truth posted that the Ravens are the only team who has their passing game drop their yards per passing play. Well, the Ravens are avg 5.0 Yards per pass, the Jacksonville Jaguars who are 31st in YPP are averaging 6.0. We're literally averaging .5 more yards passing the ball, than we are running it. The Ravens are averaging less than 20 more yards running it then they are passing it, now keep in mind that we're the 9th ranked rushing attack in the league in terms of total yards gained, I don't know what to say to that honestly.

It's definitely a very strange statistic.

It's a very weird stat. I mean I don't think we're the first team ever to nearly average as many yards on the ground as we do passing, I'm sure we did that with our 2000 Ravens offense but as of now you really should not be averaging as many yards on the ground as you do through the air. I'm certain we aren't the only team but it does explain things in certain perspective. I don't think the ground game is a huge issue we just don't have a clear cut lead back.

I wouldn't be surprised if Joe pulls a huge game out of nowhere as he is still capable of that... but then again so is Mallett and probably Woodrum. Realistically I think we're just going to ride out Flacco for the rest of the year as per Harbaugh's comments.

“We’ve got to be better off early in games,” Flacco said Sunday. “That’s the type of game that’s going to benefit us right now, is being good early and then putting teams away.”

So, Flacco said that the Ravens offense has to "be good early" and then "put teams away?"

How in the hell are they going to do that when the offense has only scored a total of 16 pts their last 2 games and their opponents offenses combined for a total of 90 pts in the last 2 games? With that type of b.s. from the offense....they are demonstrating that they are not good enough and that they can't put anyone away. Wake the hell up!
