Joe Flacco

I'll bite @Lost_In_Translation.

You mentioned what these other teams like the Jaguars and Bears have. Specifically on offense, what do the Ravens have?
Want the truth? A shit offensive line and a quarterback with a bad back. We have a solid WR corps(Maclin is a #1, Watson is a good TE), and a decent rushing attack which is still better than some teams can say. But mostly, a ton of unknowns injuries. We're not well off at the moment, and most of my hope for the season went down with Yanda.

Defensively we're fine, even with the struggles vs. Jacksonville. Ton of young talent that's only gonna get better in the future.

I am of the notion that the offense needs an overhaul next offseason in both FA and the draft. Which is possible. Even with Flacco's massive contract.

But that doesn''t change the fact that we could still overcome the shit and still pull out a few wins(no I don't think we are going 2-12). It's the NFL. Stuff like this happens. Yes, I think Harbaugh and his gang need to go. But the roster doesn't lack talent(when healthy). I know you don't see it that way, but I do.

Browns did not trash anybody 44 7 and made them look like high school team.
I am angry because we play absolute crap football 3rd year in a row and I see no changes and improvement in the near future.
1. Jacksonville is not a shit team. They have very talented defense. Do they have yet to put it all together? Yes. The moment they find a real quarterback they're gonna be a playoff team. So it's not like we got blown out by a piece of shit team.
2. We've lost that badly before in years we've made the playoffs. Using this logic, we should have just given up our super bowl year, where we got blown out multiple times during the regular seasons, and yes we looked as bad as we currently do.

And no changes and improvment? Even in the two draft classes we just had? A lot of these players are young. Not gonna be in their primes for at least another 2-3 years. The team will improve itself on its own. The defense will get better as the younger players mature. You're angry, I get it, but think clearly for a minute(I know you're capable of it. You're a smart guy). I know you don't see any potential improvement, but I do. There's a ton of possibilities that we can use to our advantage next offseason. Yes, we can open up cap room. There's ways to do it. Ozzie has gone away from his compensatory pick strategy and has adopted strategies the past two offseasons. And yes, we've gotten better than two seasons ago even if slightly.

I'm not of the doom and gloom notion even if the present looks bleak. I am not denying that currently it doesn't look good. But let's not act like we just lost to two bad teams. Jesus.

No I don't see it that way but I can appreciate your points.

it’s a team game if anyone expects this offense to carry this is sadly mistaken the offense did exactly what they needed to do to win those games we got a lead and we ran with it just how it should be

personaly I believe we ran into Bengal and brown teams in crisis and then we got turnovers. if you want to say jet lag got us in London cant disagree. but to come home and lay down vs our arch rival was to much for me to handle.

now if you want to say we were not as good as we looked against the first two and not as bad as we looked vs the last two i'll say that is likely. we'll see how joejoe plays this week against an angry Oakland squad that will be sending the big dogs. he'll have no competition cuz ej manual is an nfl hobo. he travels from town to town. we culd get to 8-8 with luck and squeeze a wild card spot but its not likely

All we need to do is squeeze into the playoffs and January Joe will lead us to the promise land haha

While I think it is early and there is plenty of time for this team to turn it around and squeeze into the playoffs with some fixes.. (Expecially with a lot of other AFC teams also struggling) I think this team may have lost too much talent to overcome to make a super bowl run. I hope that changes but that Yanda injury was a shot to the heart and you can tell by how bad the offense has been the past two weeks. If they can somehow figure out an o-line rotation that keeps Flacco clean and creates a few holes for our running backs then maybe this will change. The grittiness of the offensive line seems gone without Yanda there.

On the flip side.. The defense... What happened man? They were supposed to be top in the league. They suck thus far. I mean they don't have an offense to get them off of the field... But the defense has given up too many dink and dunk plays even before the game gets out of hand. This is not the defense everyone was expecting. This defense is playing worse than last season and the team has only added players. This defense on paper SHOULD be better than last year's. The team dedicated so much stock into their defense and they are getting sliced.

This whole team is trash right now. I actually think Flacco has been more accurate this season which is weird but has a few bone headed interceptions from good coverage. He is awkward in the pocket, he has been the last few years and it doesn't help when his back is of a 80 year old right now and he can't move as fluid to get from pressure. The way this team climbs back into playoff contention would be in the trenches. Get some pass rush on defense. Keep Flacco up on offense. Until then this team is probably even worse than their record shows thus far.

I like you and @allblackraven. If he was ever in the states I'd buy him a beer. If you were ever in Colorado same.

I'm just glad the discussion is civil even if we disagree.

You can buy me a Pepsi or Sweet Tea cause I don't drink alcohol but I can get you the beer if you were here in VA. :handshake::beer:

I may disagree with other people's views and opinions in here about various aspects of "OUR" team, but I can appreciate them. Personally, I'm just at the point where I'm extremely sick of the same ole' same ole' with this offense @Lost_In_Translation. I normally drive up to M&T to watch at least 2-3 home games a year.

This year, I only chose 1 game to attend, as always; I'm going to the Ravens vs Steelers game. And sitting there on Sunday, with my wife and watching that pathetic mess that they put out there on the field against our arch rivals the Steelers, it was pathetic. For me, that was the straw that broke the camels back with this offense.

When Flacco tossed that 1st pick in the 4th, I grabbed my wife's hand and got up and left the stadium because I knew that there was NO WAY that the Ravens offense (based upon how they'd played all game) could or would bounce back from that. I'm so done with this offense bro! Scrap'em, blow it up, start over and bring some dogs in here that hate to lose and that want to win and play like it!

@Lost_In_Translation doesnt drink beer because he's not old enough.

I agree with you @Militant X 1 part of the fun of these message boards is sharing our opinions, whether they differ or not.

Is there a reason Flacco won't offer up pay cut? Dude isn't worth what he's getting paid the next three years. I'd give up money to have people protect me, unless he just doesn't care.

maybe we should have told him to restructure to keep him upright and keep KO smh

so if Joe takes a paycut you don't think we would of had enough?
Oakland had $70 mil in cap that year and we, even with our limitations offered to make him the highest paid guard in league history... With Yanda on the team. Oakland decided to pay him LT money. I liked KO as much as the next guy but we weren't going to e able to win a bidding war with Oakland even if Flacco restructured.
