isent it better if you just read the entire discussion first?

the giants have 5 Wrs on IR including their top 2 WRs with their 3rd WR also injured.
they have barely have a running game and have a rookie and a guy nobody heard of starting at TE.
Eli had to attempt the 3rd most passes.
their defense is worse and so is their special teams.

Cards are dead last in rushing , are 2nd worst in defense , have a worse special teams then us.
Lost arguably 1 of the best offense players in the NFL, lost their best G and have 1 of the worst o-lines in the NFL.
Their best player is a 34 year old fitzgerald.
Its so bad Palmer ended up injured and will probably miss the rest of the season.

At least Flacco has a rushing attack , a better defense and the best special teams in the NFL.

He really aint that much worse off then those other 2 guys and he might at least see his top 2 wrs come back.....

And I'll point to the fact that no one would make these excuses if Flacco played for another team. Romo, Cutler and Peyton to name a few don't get essays defending them during poor performances. Peytons last year I could point out that his OL wasn't that good and weapons were unreliable. For years Cutler was wasting away on a Bears team with no OL and barely any weapons. Romo labeled as one of the least clutch QBs but people won't mention the many times he put his team up just for the defense to give it away. No one focuses on those narratives. His "good" year with Kubiak is about an average season by mosts standards and everyone else since the deal has been well below average. It's crazy to me that after all this time you think he's magically going to be some super efficient qb when he still struggles reading defenses, lacks pocket awareness, still shows poor mechanics and rarely throws wrs open or leads them. Qbs don't just get more accurate this deep in the game.

I understand the point you're making, it's like our team and the level of detailed coverage a national analyst would allot to us versus a local writer; same dynamic.

To be fair some people do defend an errant derogatory comment on here (br.com days ;( )towards a player on a different team with logical football explanations, it's just not as frequent given the exclusive Raven umbrella.

And honestly contrasted with Flacco's surrounding circumstance it usually just highlights and reenforeces the defense of him. Peyton still had a good RB and WRs, Anderson, Thomas, Sanders, Decker and an elite defense. Romo always had Dez and Witten. Cutler had Bennett, Forte, Jeffrey and Marshall.

It's hard to feel bad for the guys when they've been surrounded with more than our guy ever has. What kills me is we finally saw a magical connection with Boldin and we trade him away, just like we got rid of Zorn, etc. We don't prioritize the offense around here, ever
 
It seems that harbaugh has stated he has untouchables. Pees is clearly untouchable until he's 6 feet under.

Harbaugh has a real dark side to him, which is fine but he doesn't own up to it and plays a really fake demeanor in Press conferences. The moment one touchy but totally VALID question is asked you can almost see him snarl.

He is very lucky that hes coaching in baltimore. if he were in NY or a big market he'd be cannon fodder for the press

Wouldn't say neglected as much as we're just bad at drafting, developing and then using them properly. We're not good at utilizing offense talent. Attempts are made. It's sad we've been able to turn Cary Williams and Rashad Melvin into viable options in the secondary, both late round picks, and have never had a 1st round wr succeed.
 
Btw. Lattimore has been the best corner in the league so far.

Was bowser or wormley really worth not trading up for him?

unfortunately we won't know this year bc our staff insists on barely playing the rookies even IF they do well. I see a lot in Bowser, not sure about Wormley.

Then there's Humph who looks great out there in my opinion but we insist on playing Carr over him.


Serious question, if Humph becomes a top corner in this league, are you still mad we did not snatch Lattimore considering we have Jimmy as well?

What if lattimore could be ( and i think he would) the best corner in ravens history. I see him being as good if not better than prime C-mac

hmmm....If you told me right now that he would be better than C-Mac then I'd take him in a heart beat.

IF, IF Humph ends up being our 2nd or 3rd greatest corner and T-Will the rusher that we think he can be all time for us.....then I would be happy with that because we have 2 players.

Better than C-Mac.....sheesh lol

Yes, i think lattimore is THAT good. Thats no knock on Cmac. Cmac is easily our best corner ever.

Let's say Hump is a notch above Jimmy S, making him our 2nd best corner ever. How do you feel about that?
 
Thing is i think Humphrey is a carlos rodgers type corner. He's a good corner. His max potential range is Rodgers, Amakumara, J.smith

i dont see him being better
to answer your question, i'd still have traded up for lattimore as he is a special talent. Ed Reed special in his position.

Time will tell, but if you can guarantee me another Jimmy Smith in Humph and Bowser (what exactly are we expecting him to be?)

Ultimately it falls on him and what he does
