Joe Flacco

Don't u have Humph as gonna be one of best cornerbacks in the league after playing very limited roles so far?? BTW I don't think he is gonna be anywhere near one of best cornerbacks
Very limited roles? You do realize he has Jimmy Smith and Brandon Carr ahead of him right? And when he does come in and spell them theres no drop off. Ill tell you this. At one point in Humphreys career he will come into the conversation as best corner in the league like jimmy is in that convo now. Humphrey said it himself thats one of his goals. And guess what? So far Humphrey has completed all of his goals.

Play in all american game: check
Win a national championship: check
Run a 4.4 at the combine: check
Invited to probowl:
Convo for best corner in nfl:

I have a feeling he'll check those boxes sledge

Would be cool if he did but I don't have confidence he will. My point is we all get a lil carried away talking about players we like and gave hopes for. Except Truth. He can display extreme confidence in a player without getting to dramatic. Actually I think it would be cool if he did sometimes lol.

One of best WRs coming out?? Not so ridiculous. Yes I put him up there rated as good as Watkins and Beckham coming out. Not many I think better than him coming out Green and jones maybe.
The way you worded it, kind of sounded like you had him as the best wide our ever.

I think he has potential to be an extremely good cb in this league. You can’t teach his instincts. He’s looked like a vet with his limited time on the field and most cb take time to adjust to the nfl. I didn’t say he’d be Darrell Green or Deion and that is what I thought you were trying to say. My bad.

this tells me joe's not playing well but it also shows me what a lot of us have noticed with the eye test - receivers are dropping a lot of balls/tipping them up for ints, a lot of schemed short throws and nothing down the field and absolutely no intermediate throws at all, it tells me that the joe's getting rid of the ball quickly either due to scheme, pressure or seeing ghosts and its likely almost an even split of all 3 - it also tells me that he's diagnosing the defense just fine because he's doing probably better than in previous years vs the blitz (as a ranking) but the rest of his game has fallen off for a number of reasons - and it tells me that its likely footwork/mechanics that are the problem and given ive seen joe throw perfect balls this season it has to be down to his footwork

Looking back at some of the past games and watching some other teams this year, I have kind of relaxed off of getting at Joe for how this offense looks. He really only has two starting caliber WR at this point. One is often injured and the other is inconsistent.

Perriman has been a massive let down in so many ways and it has burned us badly. I don't know how you can expect Joe to rely on a guy who doesn't make a play on the ball, allows defenders to make plays on the ball, consistently drops passes, and too add, a very raw player. I just can't depend on him if I'm Joe. Now Player Profiler isn't the best source for evaluating a player but I think their profile on Perriman is one to take into account. Joe's QB rating when targeting Perriman is at a atrocious 1.1 and his target separation(Which is his average separation from a defensive back) is 1.0, which is really bad.

I understand people say that Perriman is a victim of Joe not progressive through his reads or looking to be more aggressive, but I think Maclin and Wallace have fallen victim to that as well and yet they're playing at a much higher level. Tapes are always viewable for teams and Joe, I think they badly want to get Perriman more involved but he has to do his share and consistently get open more. Just getting open for 2 plays out of the 47 snaps you play isn't getting it done.

Guys like Maclin and Smith Sr. become Joe's favorite guys to target because they get open more. You're going to throw it to a guy who consistently wins more off the LOS then someone who doesn't.

Let's not forget that Maxx Williams is also trending in that bust category and Ben Watson has clearly show that he's lost a step. The Ravens just do not have a TE who can get vertical. Not to mention that this OL has been a patchwork ravaged by injuries.

Don't get me wrong, Joe has to play better or he will find himself somewhere else down the line, but at the same time you need to do a better job surrounding him with talent. This team literally had Perriman as the #1 WR at one point during the off-season and that blows my mind when I think about it. If it weren't for Maclin's release, we would be starting dead at Perriman and Wallace as our starting WRs, that falls on the FO. They need to do better.

It wouldn't hurt if you followed the Patriots blue print and spoil Joe with depth at the WR.

wr of course but more importantly multi-purpose route-running running backs because rbs vs ilbs in the passing game is still the most over-powered matchup in the nfl

With 6 DB sets becoming more popular, you need a 3rd WR to step up when you can. I definitely agree that having a dynamic RB like Woodhead matters and they have tried incorporating him hard last game. I personally believe that he will be here next year if we make the post season.

its not about just having one - its the same as with the receivers, you need more than just 1 versatile route running rb - new england has rex burkhead, dion lewis, mike gillislee and james white
