Joe Flacco

I'm not interested in him being, "rowdy".
I've heard his leadership and dedication to his craft questioned by none other than Ray Lewis.
He's in a position to know.
I've heard Cerratto repeatedly refer to him as 9 to 5 with no hesitation.
He's in a position to have heard.....from those who do know.
I know he has never organized an off campus "camp" even after promising such a gathering in 2014.
I've never heard of him organizing a film study off campus the way Ed Reed and Ray Lewis did routinely.
I know from people who have been On the sidelines and in the locker room for four and five years that he shows up when he feels like it On Monday to watch Sundays game tape when the coordinator is there at 8am...... "I'll be in in the afternoon...." Was his response when asked if he would be there to watch with them.

I know he pouted on national television when he was split out wide in 2013 with tyrod taking snaps....stood there with his arms at his side.

None of this matters if he plays well. None of it. If he's playing well guys will follow him.
I actually remember him working with the wideouts in an off session camp on more than one occasion. Just can’t remember when though. It may have been 2015 (spring) and this offseason, but I’m not sure.

Well if simply citing evidence and players who have stated things is being a Flacco lover... than doing the opposite must mean youre a Flacco hater.

And if you cant get past silly titles to try and discredit the opposite opinion - might as well give up now.
Im not a flacco hater! im just stating the truth and the obvious. Sometimes you just gotta face the truth. Flacco himself said " if i dnt gotta be here, i wont" lol like cmon bro. How you expect me to believe that he is passionate and a competitve player after that!

Vinny Cerrato (former skins GM) and Dan Snyder single handedly destroyed a franchise. Of course you can’t take Cerritos word for it. Lol
That guy is a clown. I dont live in Baltimore anymore, but the 10 or some times a year im down there.... it only takes 5 minutes of listening to realize hes a wanna-be Jim Rome, Skip Bayless type but without the platform.

So when others state the truth that far more players have defended him, his work ethic and leadership.... thats just flacco loving in your mind.

Which means you cant follow logic, which means no ones got time for you.

And when did Flacco say that?

i think I recall him saying it in a press conference. Although it was obviously a joke. Total sarcasm.

yea his players are suppose to defend just like how i defend him when my peers talk shit about flacco lol! But idk, it was atleast 1-2yrs ago

Yeah.....lol. It was this season just prior to the bye week where they were going to be given a couple of days off and a completely tongue in cheek comment made in a response to a question in a presser. An unnamed poster put it up here completely out of context and stated it as proof that Flacco “didn’t care” about football.

You guys know that Vinny Cerrato played a cop in Kindergarten Ninja now, don’t you. He should have continued with acting, because he’s awful in anything sports related.

It was not at least 1-2 years ago...? Why do you even say something if you don’t even remember how he said it or even when it happened..

Well this was my point. Just supports it.

Stating things factually is irrational Flacco love.... but then using sarcastic comments out of context as stone faced, straight fax homie.... thats just being a rational, objective human being.

No time for that.

Yeah, you missed the shit show here during the first half of the season. Some of the ridiculous stuff some wrote and argued drove away some good people from posting here.

i mean he wouldnt wear a shirt that says flacco sucks! no one on the team would! in reality suggs knows that flacco isnt elite

if he didnt back joe then he wouldnt have worn anything related to joe at all - its not like he only has "i hate flacco" shirts that he wears at home and "Elite" shirts that he wears in public... he could have just worn a, you know, ravens shirt like literally everyone else in the building

There’s too many that state the opposite is true so I would tend to believe them more so than a radio personality. And I noticed you mentioned Ray Lewis’ comments from 2016. I won’t say too much about that other than to suggest you do a search and read how ridiculous everyone thought those comments were and how many continued on to defend Joe. And if you haven’t seen it, also view Ray’s apology video he made in his car. Pretty weird.

Joe Flacco is somewhat of an enigma when it comes to being an NFL QB in that he is a humble family man that isn’t flashy or one that seeks publicity. I actually admire those qualities, but they do make him an easy target for his detractors. Those things don’t mean that he lacks passion or the desire to succeed. TBF he would have never made it to where he is now if he were not dedicated or a poor leader.
I said it before but it bears repeating. Cerrato isn't the primary source, he is simply repeating what he's heard from, (apparently) people on the inside. He does have sources and he does communicate with them.

I agree with you that he comes off a boob at times but these ad hominem attacks leveled by others do not address whether what he is reporting is true and strike me rather lazy.
namely, that Joe is a 9 to 5 guy who does only what is required to this point. I

I respect your opinion, Tank and if you simply don't believe what he's saying that others are saying...well, ok. But I need to ask; if it is true that he does only what he absolutely has to...do you think this is ok? Should a franchise quarterback be expected to go above and beyond what is asked?

Name the people that were driven away. Nothing was worse than what was said about him back on the old boards. Everyone has an opinion. You have to be able to stand up for your opinion. I always said I was going to wait until the end of the season to make my opinion. Flacco was definitely wearing on me, but at this point, I’m ok with him.

I’m also now really interested to see what Urban can do with him and hopefully with weapons.

Flacco is still the last AFC Super Bowl QB not named Brady or Manning. Which ironically, we beat Manning and Brady to get to the Super Bowl.

i dont buy that hes 9-5. Maybe he was football 9-5 when rehabbing his knee/back... but that meant putting in another 5-6 hours a day either on his own or with a physical therapist. I can excuse that behavior.

Plus, a grown man with a wife and several kids... could and almost definitely is putting film study in at home. Which is fine by me.

Not to mention, arguing 9-5 and leadership is all a straw man. Its a performance based business. Period. And while i wouldnt defend all of his play the past couple years.... down the stretch this year he was certainly good enough to take us far again. His health has also been an issue which may or may not have contributed to a slow start. A lack of weapons, and multiple injuries to the few hes had may or may not be another factor.

I dont care what he does behind closed doors. If he plays well, good. If he doesnt, not good.

I agree with the last two sentences.
I agree that the leadership thing is largely a straw man because it does boil down to results. If he plays well, he is leading. If he doesn't, no one will follow.

I disagree about the 9 to 5 bit being dismissed off handedly.
