Joe Flacco

Same way how know collins worked on his fumbling problem.. cause he stopped fumbling! When you see no improvement from players in areas that they lack you can tell they havent worked on it

Right the offense did not improve in the last half of the season. I must just have been changing the channel during games and gotten confused.

Comparing his cap hit and work ethic outside of minimum requirements
Seemed like he worked harder than most to come back from the ACL/MCL. And anything I've ever read seems to say the opposite. Here's a link to one article from a couple of years ago.

Other than than working through injuries it would seem most of the issues with the passing game lie with others, not Flacco or his work ethic.

Film, his play and his numbers would say different, in regards to issues in the passing game. Not all his fault, but he definitely deserves fair share of the blame. One thing I really don't like getting into is a person's commitment, or trying to gauge their work ethic or intent. I'll leave that alone.

You can probably find articles like that about Perriman. The Jaguars players are...were out there defending Blake Bortles, but what do you think about his play?

I'm not sure we can criticize his work ethic, but I think Joe's pretty dumb and bad at decision making for the money he makes. The number of 3rd and 1 fades he throws could probably get him jailed in some Texas towns.

I dont see how off season lip service means he worked harder than most to come back from an injury, Flacco and Harbaugh were also confident coming into the season despite losing half our oline and fielding a weak WR corps. Then we miss the playoffs again and nothing changes, we just accept the status quo and Flaccos awful QBR like its no big deal.

Every other year theres also an article asking why Brady and Brees are working out with their recievers in the offseason and Flacco doesnt.

Won’t go into all of this but would ask how you would compare the jags receiving talent compared to the Ravens?

They have more talent on both sides of the ball. Let's cut the shit. We both know Blake is ass. My point was teammates aren't going to come out and say it. For the most part, players are going to support their guys.

Right. And my point is we aren’t having this convo if the Ravens have the level of receiving talent of any of the teams that made the playoffs.

That's an assumption. He'd play better, but we still can't say what level. He's never shown consistently he'll produce on a week to week basis. We have no idea how he'll perfom from game to game. Even when we had complementary pieces you never knew what you were going to get. Mechanics and decision making don't usually change for the better this far in a players career. I honestly have no idea how someone can look so bad and so good.

I think we understandably tend to be much more observant and critical of the players we watch week in and week out. And I also think it’s intriguing to think about what Flacco could be with a group of receivers like the pats, Steelers, Vikings, Eagles, Chiefs, etc..

Didn't he take three or four snaps with a blown ACL?
Yeah, that IS the bare minimum.

Perhaps Joe calls all the receivers to plan a get-together and they all say no.

I doubt it, but it is a possibility.

I remember seeing an article before the 2014 season where it was either Torrey or Pitta talked about how Joe was trying to getting ahold of everyone, but almost everyone, if not everyone, was preoccupied with their families and other personal stuff.

Almost every year on the Ravens site we see some off-season filler about how Flacco is putting extra time in with X receiver. Last year it was Perriman.
