Not sure if anyone has mentioned this...Vinny on 105.7 suggested trading up for a OL, then hoping for Lavishka Shenault with our late.

...not a bad strategy imop

i just dont like shenault as a prospect - trading up for OL i can definitely get behind though (it's what i suggested in my last mock draft)

What about him don't you like?

he's not a WR right now - he doesnt separate as a WR - you have to scheme him open and let him be an athlete after the catch - but he's also got an injury history and his game is built on being physical and athletic

but ultimately i dont see him threatening corners vertically - and i dont think that's something he'd do even if he hits his ceiling
he's a dynamic athlete (combination of power and speed) but he's not amazing changing direction

absolutely no effort when he's not getting the ball though and that makes him almost undraftable in this ravens offence given the way we need WRs to be engaged

this guy is potentially a swiss army knife weapon type player in the right situation but you'd have to scheme him open and i dont see the huge upside as a WR that others see in him - id much prefer Lynn Bowden if we're looking to take a positionless "weapon"

I personally keep watching his tapes.. He's constantly kept in motion pre-snap but I don't think he has the speed and the change of direction to break tackles in the next level.. And more than half his plays he's running half speed. There's too much talent overall on board to use a 2nd on such a prospect.

i think he'll break tackles because he's absurdly physical and strong with the ball in his hands - but i dont see him getting the ball or doing anything that would suggest he'd be able to get the ball and make big plays

Yeah, that doesn't sound like someone we need

could be that 2nd tier ILB's (Gay/Malik) being chosen in round two will cause some 2nd round guys to fall to us

I really feel like the team will double dip (not necessarily today) on WR, as it's a strong class with a poor list of FAs.
On the other hand, team might make one or 2 cheap DL additions if needed, in a few weeks (B. Mebane, Luiget, J. Reed inside; Wake, Sheard, Griffen at 5t).

Shanahan said he was the top WR on their board.
That makes sense for what they do. Ruggs and Jeudy don’t have the YAC skills that Aiyuk does. Lamb has those skills but they value speed as well. Deebo was so dangerous on those jet sweeps and now they have two guys that can do that. Talk about not knowing what the offense is going to do. Perfect scheme fit for the 49ers
